Trainz 2012 route builder
Looks like you did and excellent job PLP. Worth the effort. It was a real challenge with the two railway lines and the road all on different grades. Well done

Looks good to me PLP. More than acceptable. I know only too well that perfection isn't achievable. Keep goingNot the most scenic shot in the world but I've quite literally spent all night on this - the embankments have been beyond fiddly and the PC very nearly went for a flight out the window but I've managed to find some compromise which has produced the below. It's a lot clearer than my last effort anyway! One of my ongoing battles with Trainz is skewed embankments; the solution I've settled on are embankment 'fillers', that is, static embankment assets that 'fill' a gap left by splines. It's not perfect, and I can't really see how a better system would work but I think it's an acceptable solution. What are people's thoughts? The main downside to the fillers are the long wing walls on the west side but I don't think they look ridiculous.

Just a couple of shots of Gresley station building now the textures are done. I managed to create a texture for the window and door brick arches. It's not taken on the main route but instead on my testing map for my Midland buildings and the GER buildings I made with @KotangaGirl

Wow George that turned out well and it didn't take you long. I saw the early untextured white mesh that you pasted earlier and that looked impressive enough.Just a couple of shots of Gresley station building now the textures are done.
Brilliant, just a quick question how far or does your route reaches Derby? As it would be wonderful as a Derby resident@PortLineParker Wow those embankments are looking really good now. Good work.

Branch Goods At Belmont Junction Durham 12.11.24 by A1 Northeastern, on FlickrThat does sound like a challenge but I'm still glad it's on the cards as Derby is underrepresented in train games but either way I will be looking forward to your routes. : )Hi Spitfire,
Initial plan is to get from Ashby to Burton (nearly done), then Ashby to Coalville, then Ashby to Melbourne. Then Coalville to Leicester I might do Melbourne to Derby in the future. I think the pre-grouping track work of Derby is going to be complicated!!
