It most certainly has been a while and very much been missing your updates, I hope it wasn't to serious of an issue
Hello Spitfire! Oh don't you worry, everything is fine. I have just been very busy with work, decorating and other house jobs, spending time with family etc. But things are quieting down for winter so I expect I will have a touch more time for route building. Hope you are well!

Cheers,

George

That's good news : ),

I'm currently having a cold that been doing the rounds for the past week but today been the best day so far, so it seems to be on the way out hopefully. Other than that been business as usual.

I hope you don't mind if I make another post (3 in 2 days, goodness me what's wrong with me).

Here are the first shots of the line east of Ashby towards Coalville.

Double headed, a usual sight on the MR due to the small engine policy, Burton Upon Trent bound passes over Leicester Road bridge.

No some shots way to the west. (and taken 30 years later) Overseal Station - closed in 1890. Any advice on a good platform for closed victorian station would be welcome! I've tried to make it look as abandoned as possible. Line tracks were still used for many years as it was part of the triangular Moira Junction.

Don't apologise at all these are wonderful, You may wanna check out bunny's Branchline as they got some new midland engines !

A pair of "Rats" (Class 24) haul returning iron ore empties back from Consett via the Stanhope & Tyne Railway , seen here passing the flat crossing at Pontop Crossing.

I'm very particular about my signals and luckily found this page of an interview with a former signalman which includes signalling plans and even photos of the individual signals !

Got back into making a few buildings today! #teamSketchup :ROFLMAO:

This is the main section of Moira station in the LMS period. It's not 100% prototypical but good enough from the few photos I have.
I'm going to be making the station buildings modular so they can be used on other routes and locations. The Ladies and Gents, parcel office and offices were the same building but I'll make them separate and then place them together for ease.

Cheers, evilcrow

Here's Lambton Tank 29 passing through my own Pallion station with empties bound for Penshaw. At the age of 9 my parents moved to live near the station and I got friendly with the sons of the former stationmaster so I was allowed to roam around the station except for the signalbox as the bobby wasn't friendly.

@evilcrow and @lewisner beautiful detailed shots there!

I have now completed Moira's main building, waiting room and east bound platform shelter. I was particularly pleased with the guttering on the shelter. They were built in 1860s by the Midland Railway, these versions have LMS signage. I think they wont look out of place any time from 1860-1950 though.

As I mentioned before they are separate assets to make them more versatile.

Thanks @georgem2010 it's always nice to see new UK content as I struggle to find matching buildings for my NER lines.
Here is 60163 Tornado heading a southbound train via Sunderland as NCB number 29 waits to cross on the Stanhope & Tyne to access Tyne Dock

Lovely shot @lewisner , what is that small stone under pass asset? I know a few places where I might use that.

If you ever need any of my assets with some different colours to match your needs, let me know and I'd be happy to ping over a few NER coloured buildings for you.

Moira station is almost looking complete now with my new signal box created from the only photo I could find of it's small platform box and sideway staircase. It was in use from 1899 to 1925 when the signals were then worked from the East Junction Box. After which it lost it's nameboard and was eventually removed by 1950s.

Hi, I am my phone in a pub at the moment but from memory the bridge is SAM VS 12m Culvert V2. That and his V1 culvert make very nice looking bridges when used with his embankments.
