UK Screenshots for Pre BR Blue. High resolution warning.

Glad you all enjoy them as it really lovely people are now moving to UK content a little more.

As for the 2P PLP, I could get hold of original modeler on your behalf as I've seen them floating around in the same discord servers I'm in. So I will give him a heads up 👍
If you know his @ feel free to send him my way, if he’s interested perhaps I could share with him some tips and resources to help being some of the play features we all know and love and want from the locos, as well as fixing that cab position issue you mentioned

I had a look out of interest at the 3F and 2P as they were commonly seen on the S&D in the 1950s. Nice enough models, with nice whistles I noticed. The locos use Skipper's 2P cab which is fine but they don't appear to have been checked as they are sunk into the ground when in cab view which is a shame. Although we don't have a 3F espec the 2P performs admirably with 2995valliant's, as you would expect, and the ability to change liveries and headcodes is nice as a lot of models from 3rd party sites don't accommodate this. GP locos for example, while providing excellent models, don't allow you to change headcodes so are somewhat limited in scope.
2F and 3F specs are on my list. In the meantime the the J36 spec is pretty close to the 2F and the Highland K makes a good stand in for the 3F.

A weathered version of each would be excellent and to this end it is good to see that reskinning is permitted (and presumably sharing, though this would need clarification). I wonder if the author would be open to a reskin hosted on the DLS?

The only thing I've noticed on the 2P is that the front bogie doesn't properly follow the track curvature and instead appears to lean more to the right; screenshot below to illustrate what I mean. I have no clue on how this may be fixed but I would have thought it would be possible.

Otherwise a good model, thanks for bringing them to our attention.

Hello, Jupiter here! Thank you all so much for the positivity – I didn't think my content would make it here! I've been following the thread very closely and have taken inspiration several times from all of you. I'm genuinely flattered to see this amount of support for my work.

As for the issue of the bogey - that slipped my mind! To be honest, I just flat-out forgot to add the tags, and despite having added them in a separate private model for myself I forgot to update the actual release model with it. I've uploaded an updated version just now, you can go redownload/submit edits now and (hopefully) the issue will be fixed.

The liveries are very much solely focused on the Barrow area, as this is targeted toward "realistic" TTTE fans, so I did not include liveries beyond how they "would have" appeared during their tenures at Barrow. Due to time constraints, weathering was not included on models beyond the coal engine (which to me was an inherent feature to display the condition they were in by the fifties!) For those wishing to release reskins, go ahead! My only ask is that you please give credit, and provide a link to where the original dependencies may be found.

The issue related to the cabs is known. For context, I worked on this alone alongside two summertime classes and a full-time job (and rushed it a little bit at the end to release it on my birthday!), and decided to omit the cabs for various reasons such as lack of time, information, and interest among my primary target audience. I plan on updating them in the near future with more detailed cabs when I have better access to the above resources. When I get around to it, I will absolutely notify those here! I myself have given a few models fully modeled, functional cabs, and I do hold a degree of regret over not being able to shoehorn that feature in before the planned release date. Also, the 2P is missing the box on either side on the running board – a mechanical lubricator, I believe? – and that will be included in the aforementioned future update.

For any further questions or advice or recommendations – or if you want to say hi! – you can find me on discord @jupitersdrops, or on twitter @haltraugh.

Again, thank you so much for the praise and feedback. It's all very much appreciated!

For good measure, here are a few screenshots of my own.

A G5 brings a 2 coach Down stopping train into Cowton station on the ECML. Cowton station closed in 1958 but since I took over as Stationmaster I've managed to keep it open till 1962. The station was famous for the floating pot plant on the left and the huge black flag in the distance

The real station survives and is a beautiful Grade 2 Listed structure.

SantaFe11: it's a very nice set of useful locos and I'll certainly be having a look at weathering them. If you are looking for feedback / suggestions then, for me, the lack of a footplate crew is the main minus. I've also noticed that the main smoke attachment point is a bit low on some ie below the top of the chimney. Thanks for making these available and keep up the good work!

Hi @SantaFe11,

Thanks for getting in touch - they've very nice models and very much appreciated, so thank you. The bogie fix was easy enough and I've now done that, and it sounds as if you have a raft of excellent updates planned. A functioning cab would be very useful as a lot of locos use a generic cab which doesn't aid in driving them and as a lot of them tend to be older cab models used, it can sometimes impact the overall aesthetic I find.

It sounds as if Neville has a some weathering planned which will be excellent to see, and he has highlighted a couple of other minor things.

They are very nice models though and I'm thankful for you for producing them and for @spitfire98462 for bringing them to our attention. The S&D has a few new 2Ps on its roster so they'll certainly be seeing use over Mendip!

Cheers,

PLP

Thank you for the continued feedback! The crew will probably be done in the next few days – I am working on some school related things at the moment – and I tried my best with the cab numbers' colors to make them the sort of creamish offwhite I'd seen in photos, et cetera.

I missed this the first time – thank you so much for the offer! I am not very active on here but feel free to DM me on Twitter @haltraugh or send a friend request on Discord @jupitersdrops. I would greatly appreciate your help!

Hi Jupiter, - it's an impressive collection of locomotives that you've put together that certainly have a good deal of potential. The Deeley 3F is particularly welcome as it's an ex-Midland class that's been missing from Trainz for far too long. The same goes for the 2F and the Webb Coal Tank. Recently Paul of Paulz Trainz made a 2F in a number of variations spanning the long lives of these locomotives and I do own one of these in Midland red, but being payware they might not appeal to everyone. The 2F was a class of locomotive that quietly worked in the background and was largely unnoticed by photographers and enthusiasts, but they had surprisingly long working lives.

The issue related to the cabs is known.
Interactive cabs can tricky things to set up and take time to do properly as I well know having applied Skipper's 2P cab to other ex-Midland locos that lack for a functional footplate experience.

The crew will probably be done in the next few days
Thank you, I'll hold off doing that myself then.

In 1939 the LNER resignalled Darlington Bank Top and produced a brochure with a complete signalling diagram but for obvious reasons this wasn't published till 1946. A couple of weeks ago I found a copy for sale online and I'm now building it. It's gruelling work but fascinating ! The photo below shows the former Croft Junction signalbox which was reduced to a Ground Frame which only controlled non-main line movements. The signals were the Searchlight type and although I managed to find one American searchlight for most cases I am using @nexusdj signals which I only discovered today can have theatre indicators and feathers attached to them. I now have to replace all my signals to this type.

Just got the word about the new 2Fs and 3Fs Bunny designed. Both are something that have been needed in Trainz for a long time and are very welcome indeed!

Seeing them reminded me of that old Railway Roundabout vignette in which Pat Whitehouse attended a SLS Special from Birmingham New Street to the Harbourne Branch only a few months before it's closure. The two locomotives hauling the special in a top and tail formation were Johnson 2F Class 0-6-0s just like these. As such I decided to pay homage to that wonderful recollection by creating a lookalike train using the 2F and 3F in top and tail formation instead.

And I haven't forgotten about the LNWR DX Goods. Although the Cauliflowers never made it to BR Livery, I am extremely happy Bunny decided to do a mockup of what could have been. They are such neat looking little engines, and they fit right at home at St. Bennet Shed! I decided to take one on a little goods run - using Barney's incredible new wagons of course!!

Great looking screenshots Tanker.
I know Paul of Paulz Trainz made his ex-Midland 2F's in a number of variations a while ago, but despite that Bunny's 2F, 3F and the 'Cauliflower' Goods are very welcome additions to Trainz.
The ex-Midland 2F's had surprisingly long lives and could be found almost anywhere over the LMS and LMR on secondary lines and branchlines.
I like that the 'Cauliflower' Goods has made it into BR days, - even if it didn't if you take my meaning.
