Crosby Garrett station on the Settle & Carlisle closed in 1959 but I can't abide closed stations so through Trainz it liveth again. It was complicated to do because of the 3 arch bridge and retaining walls , the one on the right caused much head scratching.

Although the Malton & Driffield Railway was in many ways a "Light Railway" it was capable of handling large locos which it frequently did on excursion trains and one Royal Train. Here is 60163 Tornado slowing down to change the single line tablet at North Grimston, heading for Driffield and thence Bridlington. In 1893 the original station with a low platform (left) was replaced by a new station with a normal height platform (right) and the original station building was demolished and replaced by a new Stationmasters house, though the low platform remained until closure in 1958.

Metrovick Co-Bo D5701 trundles past Croft Junction at Darlington with a rake of Tarmac PGA's. This is highly improbable but not impossible since the Metrovicks were built at Stockton a few miles away.

Bournemouth West is coming along. I've no idea what I'll use for the station building - Jay's model is just a stand in at the moment - but I'm trying to chase down some drawings so that may be a future project if I can get hold of them. The adverts (all from 1957!) add a nice touch and the glass canopy gives the road end of the station an airy feel. I think this will look good once it has all the furnishings in place.

Ex-LMS class 2P heads a short 3 coach train through Parkstone station enroute to Bournemouth West. The train left Bath Green Park nearly two and a half hours ago and the passengers are no doubt looking forward to stretching their legs.

Must be close to Ellesville Market Day on my fictional Flockton and Westbridge Valley St.Ives Route, as Ex-Met A Class tank No.11 takes some wagons to Danglish to be loaded with Wheat sacks, Wool and livestock. It's very rare that dedicated trains run to Danglish, as the only time a dedicated train is sent to stations like this one is when the farmers book wagons specifically for transport of goods on an urgent basis. On this occasion, the wagons were supposed to be dropped off here on the Down Goods to Armadale, however a miscommunication saw the wagons stowed on the other side of the St.Ives goods yard. No.11, normally limited to the yards by this period, was the only engine available and in steam when the foreman realised the mistake.

When I visited the cottages in February 1978 they were in advanced state of decay and by now they are just an outline in the grass.

The Mold & Denbigh is an amazing route and lots of fun to drive trains all over. Some good looking screenshots there Tanker.

Jupiter's ex-MR locos are indeed spot on for the Mold & Denbigh Branch Tanker. There are lots if photos of them especially around Denbigh, having come down from Rhyl shed, and working goods trains onwards to Ruthin and Corwen.

A right barrel of laughs this was, I've had to do most of it twice! After about 4 hours I was finished... only to realise I'd confused myself and had the model at a 90 degree angle, so the 'box was short and fat as opposed to thinner and longer. Another hour or so later and I've rejigged it so it is just about square, with the front now slightly bigger than the width as per the prototype. I think I'm happy with it. Comes in at 5,027 polys too so not through the roof.
