Ecuador's Tren Crucero

I agree but, hey man, it no my fault! I was part of the team that did the DHR for Trainz. Don't need no steenkin' diesels there either. :D

This would be an interesting route to build and operate. Those brightly colored Baldwin steam engines are gorgeous and so is the countryside.

I thought so also, John. I wonder if a DEM could be built up for that area. I'm not even sure exactly where it runs from and to.

Great site, John. I did a preliminary link between the three cities mentioned in the article. That would be a very large DEM to link them. It took six of us 3 and a half years to go 54 miles. I'm not sure I'm ready for another one like that. Still, it would be interesting.

Hi , i found this old post while looking for tree-photo's for my Devilsnose route . I am an old trainz user and loved the DHR very much . I was making the Devilsnose route in Railworks ( train simulator ) in 2011-2012 when i got some sort of problem that i no longer could load the route . I had the traject Riobamba-Alausi- Sibambe (the devilsnose zigzag ) -Buquay.
Now i am starting over with the part of the route that i could recuperate.
I tell this because i have some usefull info : maps ( most of that traject is not covered by google earth; its just a blob ) and diagrams , and a lot of photo's , in case someone want to build that route .
I had 3ds max files of the stations along the route , but because i gave up in 2012 , they are gone .
But for my new attempt i still have the stations in Railworks format.
