Hello Everyone,

We have a minor update as we take another step closer to release of TLR - Phase 2 and the SP5 updates. This build has a few fixes to some first run delays, as well as a fix to the rare HD baseboard incorrect loading issue. This build has all imposter use turned off, Assertion Errors disabled and it includes prebuilt shaders.

As with 128152, performance should be restored to SP4 release levels

Please use https://n3vgames.typeform.com/to/xRdryu to report any bugs or issues found.

Change log (128152 to 128230)
  • [Fix] Delay for Main Menu 3D Train
  • [Fix] Delay on Route listings for first run
  • [Fix] HD Baseboard occasionally not loading correctly
  • [Fix] MPS: Dispatch Manager changing to disabled on idle servers
  • [Fix] MPS: Missing AI Drive commands

New Feature: Dispatch Manager

Where to find it:
Dispatch Manager can be located via Tools menu or opened via “Show Dispatch Manager” found under Driver properties, Dispatch Status

What you can do with it:
  • Easy way to monitor all dispatch tasks and identify any issues
  • List all Drivers and their dispatch status
  • List all the industries and dispatch status
  • List all Trains and the list can be broken up into rolling stock and powered trains, or both
  • Find rolling stock for a product
  • Find and claim a task to drive as the player

New Option: Claiming a Task (TLR)
  • Claiming a task will behave differently depending on whether it’s an active task or not.
  • If an active task, the current driver commands will be cleared, and the train will be brought to a stop. The train control mode will be switched to either DCC or Cab control, depending on the session/player default
  • Tasks can be claimed via Dispatch Manager or via Driver Details, under Dispatch Status

In addition to the Dispatch Manager, there is a new vehicle queue editor with reworked UI, and a new Activity Journal.

Update: New Vehicle Queues Editor
  • A new UI can now be found for vehicles. This replaces the old script and will resemble the interface used for Industry queues
  • Accessed by CTRL + Right click on rolling stock in Driver or Edit Details in Surveyor
  • Can add commodities directly
  • New copy and paste feature to copy commodities to other rolling stock

Activity Journal Script API
  • A more compressive logging system in order to track activity with dispatch and AI driving behaviour

How to try TLR Phase 2:
  1. Install the latest Trainz Plus Beta update (128230)
  2. Install "Coal Country (HDT)" (simc:1663)
  3. Drive "<kuid2:661281:110131:1> Coal Country TLR Session"
  4. Feel free to watch the drivers carry out tasks or claim a task for yourself to perform

Key Features:
  • Dispatch Manager
  • New Vehicle Queue Editor
  • Activity Journal Script API
  • Access to Coal Country HDT
  • New Build version 5.6

REMINDER:
** Please ensure you have a backup of your local data folder before using it with Trainz Plus Beta **

Additional Note:
  • MPS is currently supported with build 128230, but may experience slow performance and/or have support halted without any notice given.
  • Any work done on MPS Beta (128230) should be considered throw away, and will NOT be migrated over to MPS Live
  • Dispatch Manager is supported on MPS and can be enabled, requiring Environment Tools permissions

I have a simple question, will there ever be a filter to remove the list of MPS routes from the Purchased list of routes? Most are Beta test routes that I have no access to using them. Can there simply be a filter for MPS routes?

That aside, I have spent many hours letting TLR run the test session and I am impressed by the improvement of dispatcher controlled trains to solve the problems they encounter and continue with their assigned tasks. So much better then them simply being assigned a new task. Keep up the good work.

Downloads and updates very quickly.

I haven't been around for a while but it's good to see that the SpeedTrees now work as they should. With the earlier patches I tried they behaved like the old trees.

I now feel confident to move my custom Map into this build 230 to continue on with my Map edits.
Never a good idea with a beta build no matter how stable you believe it to be. I only ever use my beta builds for testing a current project, never to permanently expand it. In any case when you save your work in the beta it will have an asset build number of 5.6 and it will not load back into your current retail Trainz Plus which has a maximum asset build of 5.5.

LOL! paware you are so correct.
I just found an issue with the build 128230

First issue ran the short data base repair and got this message
- <NULL> : Failed to download precached data for package 'sc430p' at version '104441' for platform 'standard-31'
- <NULL> : Failed to download precached data for package 'sc430s' at version '104441' for platform 'standard-31'
- <NULL> : Failed to download precached data for package 'sc430f' at version '104441' for platform 'standard-31'

All of a sudden I am getting severe frame rate hits when I scroll around my Map as it does a split second fps freeze and does not go away as I continue to scroll around.
The 122411 does not have this issue listed above.

Back to my 122411 I can not use the build 128230 after all.

That "error" is just due to the content update in this build. It didn't pre-cache the content it updated. The game will build the cache on the fly but that causes the performance hits you are seeing.

Thank You wreeder for your reply. (y) :)
I am not to worried about it as I still have my 411 build still working perfectly.
But I am trying to repair the issues with a Local folder backup that I had saved before I updated to this build.
I will get it working as it was working good before.

I waited for about 15 mins to make sure that the precaching was done.
I was wrong about the Frame Rates as something got broken in this build 128230 as the FPS has severely degraded on a large Map it jerks along in split seconds.
The Carz are moving the same way, jerking down the road and the waterfalls are no longer smooth. All animations have lost their smooth fps

My same exact Map back into the 122411 is perfectly good with the FPS

Just found this with the Bug report turned on. It repeats over and over again in the file.
This error does not happen in the 411 build.
