Chinese ScreenShots

Small updates. Plated over and textured the mid-section door windows to avoid the "see-through" look that is caused by having no interior walls or floor! Missing number board now visible (normal that hadn't been correctly flipped) and minor adjustment to bogey/inspection lights.

The two windows that appear at a distance are unfortunately a nasty side effect of the way the main mesh has been created and mapped. The Jet rendering engine is getting confused about the z order of parts of the mesh that are very close together. I've tried to fix it up but can't find a way without major surgery to the textures. I'm afraid you'll have to live with it.

It's here for those that wish to play with it. http://www.fileden.com/files/12269/DF4B_alpha6.cdp

I'm running out of free time to do anything more with this as I have a number of other projects on the go as well. It's time to decide what sound file and what cab to have this configured with. I would suggest one of the built-in assets to make it easier for those downloading from the DLS unless someone is going to provide DLS assets. Which do you want to go with?

Dave,

Thanks for your all work and your support, my Chinese friends and I are really appreciate your help.

The sixth version works very well, I have just finished the test. The only problem here is solving the messy texture near the four "prisms", but maybe we can discuss it later if you have free time.

Can you released two versions? I suggest whether or not we can released one has engine lights and the other doesn't because some my Chinese friends told me that they hoped the loco if can be more plain.

For the cab, maybe we can use built-in cab Gen_RC4, do you agree?

For the sounds, please give another 2 or 3 days so that I will ask the sounds creator of DF4B in MSTS and looking forward to give us a permission of dragging the sounds from MSTS to TRS.

Finally, Dave, I really want to say thank you, you made me learn a lot and I enjoy working with you.

Dave,

I am sorry to tell you that I haven't managed to contact the creator of the sounds, so I wonder whether or not we can use Newlook's DF4D engine sound. I am going to try to get a permission from Newlook.

Regards
Leo

UPDATE on Guangshen route.

Because of lack of photos on the Shenzhen-Guangzhou stretch, I am only going to do the British Section. aka MTR East Rail from Kowloon(East Tsim Sha Tsui) to Lo Wu.

Lo Wu station platforms and track are complete, I'm wiring the place up and am expanding track to the marshalling yard just south of the station.

Hello everyone, I have followed this thread for a while and there have been no posts for almost a month! Is there anything new? Just curious.

Thanks in advance,
Sam

UPDATE: With regards to the Hong Kong project, things are looking up. I have since stopped working from Lo Wu and have finished the section between Hung Hom Yard and the North of Beacon Hill Tunnel.

In between are 2 stations - Mong Kok East and Kowloon Tong. Beacon Hill Tunnel is about 2km long so it all adds up to about 6km so far and increasing.

As of tomorrow, construction on Tai Wai station (North of the tunnel) will begin and screens will be posted.

all his .cdp files have no username tags. Anyway, that is besides the point.

Does anyone know whether there are DF11 (i mean the blue and cream ones) or 25K coaches for download?

Thanks.

Ron --

That ocemy.cn Chinese site above comes out clean by me.

What makes you think it's got a Trojan?

The rolling stock is outstanding.

For us TRS2004 Luddites the locomotives, power car and passenger car can be made to work by making the trainz-build = 2.4 and modifying the bogey lines in the locomotive config.txt

It's well worth the effort.

Highly recommended.

Phil

Trojans

I have Comcast cable with McAfee, and when I opened the page it deleted TWO Trojan horse virus files,,, however I did manage to download the trainz files, but have not opened them yet.:)
