I think you just did. That is pretty much how I make it: ungodly large "VO" in something resembling Arial font, approximately 1/4 size smaller ampersand between the two letters, then "appalachian lines" - in all lower case, centered so that the words barely stick out past the horizontal boundaries of the "VO".

I've got more screenies as soon as Photobucket hurries up and finishes uploading them. My grandma is faster than Photobucket.

Going back a few years, V&O rostered at least two classes of 2-8-2's. The M-2's were USRA heavy engines. I think I got one of the M-1a's here, upgraded over the years:

Here is an articulated pusher:

It looks from here to be a 2-8-8-2. I always thought it was funny that Allen had the V&O using 2-6-6-0's similar to Northwestern logging railroads to haul coal. The 2-6-6-0 was out of date pretty much the moment that Virginian's AC-class left the builder. I always thought something like C&O H-4 2-6-6-2's, B&O EL-5a 2-8-8-0's, or USRA 2-8-8-2's were more appropriate.

Oops. Haven't renumbered the cab side yet. V&O #103, a P-class. Oddly enough, V&O only had four Pacifics, #100-103.

There. That's better.

I plan on re-aligning those rivets. I should have realized that the parallel rows would offset for strength.

Jointed Rail makes a very nice F7. I tested this out with a V&O reskin. I will have to ask them permission to reskin and distribute (likely via their website). This model totally rocks. It's awesome. I can't wait to re-make my other F7 reskins...

Auran's model on the left, Jointed Rail's model on the right. Not even close.

It's only fair to re-make the Alco FA's, too.

Behind this FA-1 is an FB-1. I've corrected that white patch since this screenshot was taken.

The trucks under #248 are the ones from Randy White's (whitepass) C424. They are growing on me. Not that Auran's are terrible.

Some rolling stock before I head off to bed. An ACF Centerflow covered hopper:

That bowtie logo is not as garish and bright now as in this screenie. Oops, I need to add data!

Autoracks - I've already posted the blue one and the newer red one. Here's the older red one:

The AT&SF-style caboose (that's what everyone calls them):

I like that window nearest the camera. It looks blanked out. Although I have pics of #392 as this model, I've also seen a bay window numbered 392.

Those F7's look pretty good, I'd like a set of them when you get permission, if you get permission...........

One thing is for certain about those F7's: when I get time, I am converting all of my F-unit reskins to that model.

I need 2-3 more beta-testers. Anyone game? I had 5 people in mind for this job, but three of them have not written back at all. Move on I must.

If you want a beta tester with a lot of experience and knows what the purpose of beta testing actually is feel free to shoot me a PM or email. You can also get me on AIM, MSN, or Skype. They are all in my profile.

Looks great from the screens,

Steve

Nice reply there Steve.....LOL :hehe:.....I'd shoot it over to him....He's prolly one of the top notch beta testers we have here :)

Hey Adam,

You still looking for beta testers? I didn't get back here for awhile so didn't see that post, let me know!

Nice looking route and rolling stock, hopefully JointedRail will make a better Alco FA with similar details to the remodeled F7s.

A mix of Alco's, GE's and Emd's all on a long train would sound awesome and the rolling stock would be interesting too. I look forward to drive on this route when its done because it will both be cool and I will enjoy the experience as well. Hey Cincy there are the Trailer Train piggyback flat Cars on the download station along with trailers that come with it are the Download Station to add to your V&O rolling stock if you don't already know about them (just search on the DLS for Tofc and you should get some results.)
