UK Screenshots for Pre BR Blue. High resolution warning.

7254 and 4620 at Rathtyen MPD. It's an absolute privilege to have these Welsh engines by Skipper1945 available to run on 'Tristyn in Winter' BR (W). If they had the early BR 'Cat on a Mangle' logo on their tank sides they would be perfect.

Could you simply just do a personal reskin on those tank engines to have the BR EARLY logo on them?

A pause while shunting at Moxbury goods yard.

Is this the same J50 as currently available on the DLS?

I noted comments on this and the related J15 earlier above that seemed imply some work had been done to update these models.

The reason I ask is the current DLS models, which I've used since TANE, have a bizarre rendering texture in TRS19, which I call the ghost-train effect, and the appearance of the the screenshots here and above is much more realistic.

Thanks.

There's presently a work in progress with the J15 and J50 as well as some other older models to sort out their texture problems in TRS19 and TRS22.

Thanks Annie. Yes, I've been trying out these Paul Hobbs' staples with tbumpenv materials to see if they'll render better in TRS22. First signs are encouraging...

These models probably aren't uploadable as they don't have modern elements like LOD, but I'm exploring other options for redistribution.

They do have an lm.txt file which means they have an LOD of sorts, almost certainly enough for the DLS.

Is that what Blandford Forum station once looked like. I worked there for 12 years of so and although parts of the route can still clearly be seen and the location of the station well known few people I worked with or had lived there all their life could remember much about the station. Nice one. Peter

It certainly is, quite a lot going on in what was a cramped area, not helped by the fact that the station limits began in a cutting and ended on an embankment so very little space either side. As can be seen, access to the station was from the road below rail level, passengers having to climb a set of stairs to reach the platforms. There was a board crossing but passengers were provided with a subway to cross instead. The platforms were quite long, especially in comparison to the rest of the S&D, and the lofty signal box have the signal man a good all round view of what was going on. There's still some work to do but I'm really pleased with how this turned out.

Cheers,

PLP

Thanks John (and Annie) currently, both the J15 and J50 are build 3.7, is that the minimum build currently? Paul's license does allow redistribution, so we could put them up; if the DLS will have them!

Now that most of the kinks have hopefully been ironed out on my latest version of F&WVJR - St.Ives, I decided to sit down the other night and run some trains down the line for a change, particularly to run in Barney's new Grouping era Flatbeds. The following screenshots show K tank No.617 on a down slow goods train from St.Ives to Armadale (into the Flockton Portal as the rest of the line hasn't been made for Trainz yet).

On the Down slow line passing St.Ives Loco depot:

Arriving at Thrornton Junction traversing the mainline into the goods yard:

Shunting movements at Thornton Junction dropping off wagons bound for Horwood Junction and swapping them with wagons bound for Danglish and Armadale:

Having departed Thornton Junction, the train makes its way uphill beyond Thornton Tunnel towards Danglish:

After arriving at Danglish, 617 makes numerous shunting manoeuvres delivering a LMS vent van with Fertilizer sacks, an Ex-NSR 6 plank, and GWR Fruit van into the siding adjacent to the loading platform. These are traded for 2 wagons loaded with wool bales bound for Armadale where they'll be shunted into a larger consist bound for the harbour at Flockton.

With the shunting now complete, 617 makes haste to clear the section in a bid to avoid delaying the down passenger train in the block behind it.

Now having arrived at Kelpie's Crossing, 617 shunts the majority of the consist into the goods yard in preparation to take the trailing open plank wagons on a shunt up to Gravel Hill Colliery, returning with a rake of loaded coal wagons.

Having completed the shunt at the colliery and depositing the loaded wagons bound for St.Ives in the sidings, the final consists for this section of the route crosses over the points back onto the down line.
