Trainz Plus - enjoy Trainz from just 20 cents a da
Patch from 110491 to 110771 using the Trainz Plus Beta stream.
IMPORTANT:
1. We strongly suggest you make a copy of your current Trainz Plus install and patch the copy for this test. This will allow you to run side-by-side comparisons (see below). If you haven't made a copy, you can redownload 110491 from MyTrainz.
2. This build is trainzbuild 4.8 therefore routes and sessions saved in this version are not backwards compatible.
3. Also the Content Store does not yet support 4.8 assets.
The biggest change is under the hood - the train physics now runs as a Trainz Native Interface (TNI) plugin. There are no changes to the actual physics, and that's the bit we'd like testers to focus on.
Run a variety of locos and train configurations over a variety of terrain and compare performance to 110491.
The goal here is to identify if anything has changed dramatically, and if so, is it better or worse (i.e. a change may be a good thing if it was broken previously).
Please note that AI drivers operate using DCC/Simple mode and therefore Realistic/Cab mode will show different results to DCC/Simple or AI.
Also note that "train physics" means driving operations only and not cab or rolling stock motion, derailments etc.
Other changes are listed below.
