DigitalRailz ,

You still continue with the same style of posting you used as when you were TT. Your posts and threads are exactly the same as they were then, bumping your thread and promoting your site , it appears to me you have learned very little , your demise will most likely follow in the same path as TT .

Members who subscribed back then , paid money , still remember !

Simply my thoughts ---- ,DLR
For once I actually agree with you deelare. I'm getting sick of all this promotion whooplaw, it gets tiring:sleep: . I can understand when you are announcing a new product but, constantly bumping threads and posting stupid garbage that is useless horse manure...that otherwise is generaly ignored anyway. "We are now in need of BETA testers"? Who cares, why could this not be announced on your own site. And honestly, its the same crap over and over and over. Bla bla bla.
Cheers!!!

Hello To ALL Trainzers From An Old Fan!

:)

It is with great pleasure to announce the birth of 'DigitalRailz(c)' today as we come online and announce what we have for the 'digital railsimmer' and all Trainz 2009 and KRS users.

It brings me great pleasure also to see many 'old names and handles' from people in Trainz since 2002, still enjoying this wonderful 'sport' lol

I also would like to congratulate Tony and The Crew at Auran for the fab release and new potential found in Trainz 2009, and am honored to have the opportunity to meet you all again, meet the new folk, make some ammends, and let you know that DigitalRailz has some REALLY COOL stuff in the worx, and all for no cost, no fee's...just the love of digital railsimming is all you need to join us!

Starting with Trainz 1.3 from a love of model railroading, learning all the building steps through
UTC, then the best yet, Trainz 2004 and then finally building some of the most feature packed routes for Trainz, and also developing quite a following of enthusiasts who love to see that Trainz could 'do more' than railroading...

...remembering Lost Heaven For Trainz, Century City, Old Fictional Toronto, or our latest project that featured:

-THE most custom content ever built for one project

-the largest commercially available route at that time at 1280 boards

- it also featured many automatic and manual sessions(scenarios), real time 3rd party music, custom html player menuing, tons of 'built for' content

-the Full First 'Complete' Monorail Project fully customized in Trainz, and much much more,,,,called The Virtua
Series..

Now I would bet, the name TorontoTrainz comes to mind?

Well, we're back...sorta
Better...much better....

Well, my passions for building never left me, despite the disgusting bad release of Trainz 2006 sending things into a shambles, the dying market support, and the now defragmented versioning caused TT to close its doors in Feb of 2006, after serving our membership of many, from over 21 countries for over 4 years with more than 4 major projects released.

We have been building in KRS since its release, and now in TRainz 2009 with it's new 'breath of
new air' in its newer capabilities only found in 09.We have a new build-team, a new modeller, a new
programmer, a new developer website coming, and alot of news to fill it all! And you won't believe the quality we have hit, retaining our 'funfactor'.

I would love if you could join us at DRZ, simply registering at our temporay new home at
proboards.com, we will have you 'memberized' and then able to see what is coming, when, and for
what software!

-Registration is a simple forum email activation

-We are FREE, FOREVER!There are no charges for any of our products, ever!

-You simply register (info below) at our PRIVATE DRZ board to join the DRZ Membership, and to be part of some
really cool 'events' coming really soon to our members only.

-Join Us Today and Register For at DigitalRailz Here:
http://digitalrailz.proboards.com/index.cgi?/

* Note for former TorontoTrainz members? If you join us we have a special 'we're sorry for leaving'
gift, and an 'all free ' new DRZ policy, if you'd like to 'try us again...then 'get over here' !

In closing, again it's a pleasure seeing so many 'faces' still around enjoying Trainz, and here's wishing you all aboard, a Happy and Healthy New Year.

Happy Trainzing...from Tom and The Team At DRZ!

Building THE Best Routes For KRS And Trainz 2009

It's always nice to see new content creation groups appearing on the scene, and you certainly sound like you've got a lot in store. I don't really remember Toronto Trainz, so I don't know the history there, good or bad.

However, I'd like to make a suggestion...Why not just announce what you're creating? Why force people to join a forum to find out what it is? Most third-party sites (free and payware) generally announce specific products here, and then tell us where we can find them.

It would probably attract more members if you announced your content rather than saying "you have to join up to find out what it is." How do I even know that I want it?

Just a thought. Best of luck.:)

Why create another forum when the Trainz Forum is more than adequate? The bigger the magnet, the tinnner the iron filings.

Why should people have to register and login to a site offering free stuff?

Neither make sense. I'm with Patrick, either have an open web site for all to view, or announce your products here.

Just for the record, I'm not against this group (or any other) having a forum of their own. Most of the current third-party sites have them and I actually think it's a good idea, since it allows them to provide more direct support for their products.

However, those forums are just an extension of the site, nothing more. It's not an exclusive club, and they don't have a "join to find out more" philosophy. I don't have to become a member of World of Trainz or VMD to purchase or download anything. For me, that's a much better system - although others may feel differently.

Patrick

Patrick, once again I agree. I've listed almost 60 Trainz sites on my Trainz Resources directory. (Link below) many sites have forums, but they are an adjunct to the site and you don't need to be a member to see the site itself or to see what's on offer. So-far I've found three sites that demand you join before you actually get around to seeing what you're joining. Should you decide to go down that path, you may well find they have nothing you want anyway.

I can't see the logic in creating a site like that, but I guess some people may feel important if they're exclusive members.

IIRC the original Toronto Trainz group required that you pay a yearly membership fee to login to their site and forums from where you could download their freeware.

Perhaps Tommy is wishing to pursue this same format again. Whatever he decides to do I wish him success. :)

Personally, I don't mind "registering" - "becoming a member" to any site that is offering good quality Trainz content/routes...especially if it's free. (a small inconvience that I'm more than happy to put up with)...
As far as I'm concerned, the more contents/route creators, the better!!! (especially experienced ones) So, welcome back...
I've "become a member" (took 45 second's) and looked at their site. Looks promising... I've taken a small extract from Tom's DRZ forum post which confirms that he/they don't plan on charging anyone...

We are also pleased to announce that as promised, we are giving away FREE SPECIAL memberships to all previous registered TT users, and will be offering our NEW upcoming product memberships FREE to all New DRZ registered members.
That's right...I said FREE, Now, Forever,,,always....
For now, enjoy what's to come to this new home,,,,very soon! And again, Welcome To The All New DIGITALRAILZ !
All Best
Tom. DRZ

Welcome back onboard & good luck Tom, (& team)...
Cheers, Mac...

That would technically make it payware.

Well I wish you luck DigitalRailz. Cheers.

The only time I've heard of Toronto Trainz prior to now was a "TORONTOTRAINZ" logo inside a drivable sedan in trainz. I'm not even sure where I got it from. Maybe you could refresh my memory! :hehe:

And with paying to register, I was referring to what another said... paying to register at the - now defunct - Toronto Trainz. Not DigitalRailz.

DigitalRailz & DRZ ,

Us old members of the Forum are still aware of Toronto Trainz and their conduct . Hopefully you have learned some valuable lessons and this will filter into your new way of doing business , especially regarding Trainz members ?

Best of luck and I hope your policies have also been reconsidered .

Simply my old thoughts --- ,DLR
