The Anti-Missing Dependencies League

@korikovaVL80

The whole SOPA/PIPA/ACTA idea is horrible and really badly thought out. If SOPA had gone through, it wouldn't matter whether the site was American or not, so long as they had a US 'intellectual property', they could block whole site groups just by accusing with no proof.
Suppose someone uploaded an asset to Download Station, which looked like a copy of someone elses work. An ACCUSATION of copying could shut ALL of Auran's sites - not just DLS.
Look at the way Megaupload was shut with no consideration for all the legitimate people using it for backup!
That's why we have to careful what links are put up! Not give anyone ammunitiont o accuse us!

@sawyer811

Looks like you've got your first customer!
I still think a blog will be better in the end, because this will probably end up as support for 'orphan' routes which authors aren't actively supporting. Unfortunately, the links can go out of date as people give up on personal sites or change ISP's. Some of the 'bucket' sites are blocking sharing now too. So links will change, and most recent post would give most up to dat info.('korikovaVL80' mentions how Russian sites can change overnight!)
The better route authors post news about non-standard Assets somewhere like a route announcement, and/or put info about it in the asset itself. The former is better, because it can be updated.

P.S. Is there room for an 'Anti Anonymous KUID League'? Half the time is spent trying to figure out what is the type/name of a Kuid.

There's a lot of their stuff on http://rrmods.com
Can't search for kuid's, so try forums. It took me ages to get registration form to work. I think Windows 7 & Firefox 9 eventually cracked it.

Author 146617 - ns261
Try http://www.trainzproroutes.org
Couldn't find any content, but there's a couple of forum posts in 2005-6, which is the only activity I've been able to find!

Author 219472 - nikos1 - http://www.uslw.net
Again not searchable for kuid, but nikos1 is listed on the 'team'.

Again http://rrmods.com looks like a good bet.
Also http://checkrail.com/ek3_sessions.htm has direct links for the Hoppers on RRmods site.

Good luck.

Yes, I do believe it was. I've got to hand it to you Saywer811, you thought up of a pretty good idea.

Yes, it's so terrible, no one gives the US right to shut down sites located in either UK or Russia. They MUST contact the country where the site is from, this is really ****. Our president will react to this in case they start shutting down Russian sites, not sure about UK though.

I guess, if I write the word "Hey, this site have many torrents to download!!!" the stupid censor will detect it automatically and shut down the whole site, stupid businesses making laws like this.

And worse yet, while I was protesting SOPA, there was another stupid bill "ACTA" in the european union at the same time, so many people were kept busy protesting sopa while not even "knowing" about ACTA.

But, a lot of eastern european countries are protesting against ACTA right now, because these people have a very low salary and needs to buy food and important things, they can't afford ACTA since that will prosecute many people for no reason.

I'm angry at the megaupload case as well, because my friend has stored my CV there :/ If the FBI are really usefull to the world, they should help instead, like trying to stop human trafficking, drugs, children abuse and so on. But no, they waste time on this. What a country the US of selfish capitalists are. :(

....Our president will react to this in case they start shutting down Russian sites, not sure about UK though. ...

Your president can't do anything directly, if sites get blocked at the DNS/IP lookup level.

Glad you noticed ACTA too.

This is getting off-topic though, let's all get back to serious business of tracing Missing Assets ;).

@sawyer811

I'll keep supporting this venture mach as I can as I can.

I'm currently trying to resurrect the 'FRENCH Riviera' Maps/sessions from Cborg.
Beautiful South of France routes built for TS2006, so I'm tryimg to get the assets/patches working in TS2006 again, then upgrade to TS2012.
A lot of the non-DLS stuff hasn't moved! But the engines don't plug into TS2012 without mods.
Must contact auther (cborg - 174847) for help/suppoer at some point.
