Stouthm, thanks for directing him too.... If you look under the thread in the freeware section I will post soon some line by line examples of how I put some consists together for a session.

Thanks for the suggestion, Stouthm!

Please post some screen shots when you all get a chance!

The crew of the ALCCC has just pulled the empties from the coal yard at Allegheny Steel and are cruising at 10 mph past the unloading trestles where the coal was unloaded the night before. In a few minutes, they will get a Form D track warrant and take the empties to Mine 78 on the Coal Creek branch for yet another load of black diamonds.

Night fall on the Coal Creek Branch. The loaded unit coal train is on the Bethlehem Industrial track at Mine 78. These coal loads are headed for Allegheny Steel.

Mishap on the local

Mishap today on the local....

Our empty train arrived at Mine 78 on the Coal Creek Branch

Then, the crew cut the cars to be able to run around a batch and shove them into the empty tracks

However, as seen from the tipple stair case, the last hopper car split a switch while shifting the empties through the cross-over. Needless to say, the trainmaster was not happy. :( :'(

Found some time to post some screenies. Hope they do justice to your route. Will post more if anyone asks.

I'm still exploring your route and enjoying it. I made a few changes, can you spot one in one of the screenshots?
Oh yeah, I hate floating track but I understand why what with all the grade changes. I hope they fixed that in 09.

Thanks Stouthm!

Good looking shots. I appreciate anyone posting shots of the route with their consists running.

I spotted right away that you changed the road to the steelmill from concrete to asphalt. Looks good....

Any way you can change the route to suit your needs is awesome. I would rather have my work be altered and used than be deleted because of items that the user found unsuitable.

If you or anyone who uses the route and doesn't mind telling - when you find a neat area or scene -- could please describe some of the areas that you really enjoyed running... For example, I really like heading up grade with a load of logs the on the Paint Creek Branch and coming around the first corner and seeing that big bridge because it looks like I am in for a challenge....

Bill, I had to change the road because I also switched all the crossing signals. Cloackghost (sp) crossing gates did not work so I'm now using BNSF50's crossings. That was interesting, changing all those crossing. More pictures will follow.

I am not sure why the other crossing signals weren't working for you... but on the bright side -- you got a chance to explore more of the route while you went around doing the switch out to BNSF50's crossings. :)

These are the coil steel cars that Allegheny Steel uses to haul steel coils to Grafton. A couple of dozen of these cars loaded with Steel Coil 2x2 will give a train over 8000 tons. Get 5-6 SD45's for that train!

Beautiful route. I will definitely be downloading it and throwing some reading locos onto it. I too am working on a PA mountain line, though mine is a large looping model train layout style route.

Awesome shot as always Bill. :)

May I ask where you got those coilcars from? I know rrmods put some out but I don't recall those ones but perhaps they were in that batch...

Thank you, jadebullet! Please download the route and then post some screenshots of the route with Reading all over it! :D
