Can't wait for this....

But me thinks I will need a FCT to download this in less then 24Hours.

You and many others will be happy to note that I am planning to make this route a one-click download. Since I am the only person making stuff for this project, everything is to be included in ONE CDP. Download, click, install, done. No download station to worry about, no internet searching, no missing items, no CMP, no frustration. It will all be fine, I promise.

Any word on your two-truck shay? ive been hoping for a decent two truck
36' shay for a long time to take the place of the old hiesler. Your #7 is my prime mover on my logging route:D

Speeder

Hallo Slugsmasher,
did i see it right, your Speeder hasn't any passenger on bord.

I've changed your Speeder a little bit, so now it can take (visible) passenger on board, if you like it, i send it to you.

Sorry no pictures.

Hi Slugsmasher, that looks really good, except I'm thinking the amount of polys in those shots might be a little much for most computers, what are the specs of yours? Just curious.

Thanks,
Sam

Most all of my structure and scenery object models use LOD method to reduce polys at further distances. I am able to maintain 30-40 FPS on most areas of the route. Since most operations on logging routes are low speed, FPS is usually not a problem.

I have been using a Dell XPS laptop for most my work lately. It has a Centrino Duo 1800, 1G ram and a GeoForce 7900 256M video card. You can find desktops with better specs than this nowadays for 300 bucks. For 800 bucks you can play Trainz, watch a movie, surf the internet and run your dishwasher at the same time. Computer technology has come a long way in the last four years. Upgrading is easy and cheap.

Thanks, I'm looking forward to this! By the way, my computer should be able to handle this route pretty easy, and logging trains never set any speed records, so I should do fine.:hehe:

Thanks again,
Sam

Thanks for the inquiry. Sorry but I've taken most of the summer off from Trainz and the computer in general. This project will resume when the weather starts getting crappy again...which is right about now.

Back on the project this weekend. Just finishing up the Clear Lake Hotel for my townsite. Click my website below for several other screens of this project.
