Why no Countries in DLS search?

For earlier versions of Trainz it was possiible to search on the DLS for items by country. Since TRS2009 this feature has been removed. I don't understand why this is, as locos and other items still are from particular countries. This adds up to more searching time. I accidently came across awonderful Indian steam loco by the late wonderful creator Bill Fock while I was getting parts for one of his other locos. A search for under locos and "india" would reveal nothing as such a search is no longer possible. Perhaps N3V could explain why country searches for TRS2009 and above cannot be reinstated?

Not really sure, but I've noticed that many creators don't bother to use the Region tag, and some that do use the wrong one. Even TS2010 has a RENEFE loco tagged as 'US' instead of 'ES'.
If the tag is not being usedby creators, then searches would not be especially beneficial anyway.

Sure content creators sometimes put the wrong country in the config file, but thid doesn't happen enought to excuse not being able to search by country anymore. If creators are now not putting any country tag in the file maybe its because its no longer relevant on the DLS?
I notice the omnipresent windwlkr hasn't bothered to answer this post, although he's usually defending N3V's every action.

Use the web-based DLS for country searching. On some searches, the options for it are at the bottom of the page once a search has been conducted.

I was talking about the DLS on the web, those options only work for TC3 and below. I know where to look for the search options, thank you.

You sure about that? I've still got access to these options even with TS2009, as they are not tied to any particular version.
