Oo,er Cuckoo Line under development! Great to see this. Just wondering what the coaching stock is on the train at Hailsham?New area of the SR Route under construction - BR 4MT stopping at Hailsham Station on a service from Turnbridge Wells to Eastbourne. Still in the very early stages....
What do you mean PLP, - the station looks great.Nothing particularly exciting from me I'm afraid;
PLP, try making the canopies as splines. That way you can curve them and set the gradients. That's what I have done on my route.Thanks Annie, it's coming along and I'm quite pleased with how it's turning out so far. Unfortunately, I don't know if this part of the line will ever see the light of day. I have Branksome and Poole stations left to do and I can't make the canopies for them both as they're both curved and, in Branksome's case, on a gradient. Unless I can figure out a way to do it I'm looking at cutting the line short at Broadstone so losing the 8 miles from Broadstone-Bournemouth West which is a great shame, but the buildings are just too difficult to model.
Meanwhile, some screenshots of steam at Parkstone and Blandford Forum:

Personally, I'd vote for a less than perfect canopy over a truncated route anyday!So, the spline was a failure - I built the canopy as one model and split it up into its respective elements: start, middle and end, and this was the result. The problem is, apart from the fact that I got the angle at the front wrong, the spline section is too long but can't be shortened due to the columns not being at even intervals, so it would always be lopsided. It was a good idea but sadly I think cutting the route short at Broadstone is the way to go as it's beyond me!

Just keep going with the whole route - you may regret it if you don`t. Improvisation is the key until more stuff becomes available on the DLS. In my case I am still oldyfying the ECML, over a decade since I last posted a screeny but still very much constructing when time permits. I know how you must be feeling about those canopies but to give an example such as Durham - a unique design - I simply used what the DLS had to offer pending a more realistic version being created by someone or even myself if I eventually get my 60 + brain around this content creation palaver. Love what you have being doing here so please keep up the good work & stick to plan A.So, the spline was a failure - I built the canopy as one model and split it up into its respective elements: start, middle and end, and this was the result.
