'If I can, so can you!' - I'm not sure if that's wishful thinking or hope for us all, but so much more interesting that the bland appearance of todays rolling stock. Great job. Peter

My most recent efforts have concentrated on the Geneva triangle just south of Darlington station. Here we see an LNER P2 passing Croft ground frame which was the former Croft Junction signalbox, reduced to a ground frame when the new Darlington South signalbox was commissioned in 1939. The sidings in the middle are the Geneva Reclamation Yard which sadly I have no photos of so I am working solely from the 1969 OS map. Nearly everything in this photo was swept away in 1972 when Darlington was resignalled yet again from the existing box.

The P2 passes Croft Junction yard which had 24 sidings in 4 groups of six. The depot behind the P2 is simply marked "Depot" on the OS maps so I have had to use my imagination here. In 2024 this entire area is covered in dense forest.

Not my stuff but worthy of a shout since most are pre-grouping engines some no doubt maybe interested in.
And yes they are reskinable : D
They certainly look to be an interesting collection Spitfire. I haven't had a proper look at them yet to see how they are set up with regard to engine specs and the like.
The Deeley 2F and 3F as well as the Webb Coal engine would be the most useful to me.

Some of the goods wagons on the same website look useful. A few seem to have texture problems though.

I had a look out of interest at the 3F and 2P as they were commonly seen on the S&D in the 1950s. Nice enough models, with nice whistles I noticed. The locos use Skipper's 2P cab which is fine but they don't appear to have been checked as they are sunk into the ground when in cab view which is a shame. Although we don't have a 3F espec the 2P performs admirably with 2995valliant's, as you would expect, and the ability to change liveries and headcodes is nice as a lot of models from 3rd party sites don't accommodate this. GP locos for example, while providing excellent models, don't allow you to change headcodes so are somewhat limited in scope.

A weathered version of each would be excellent and to this end it is good to see that reskinning is permitted (and presumably sharing, though this would need clarification). I wonder if the author would be open to a reskin hosted on the DLS?

The only thing I've noticed on the 2P is that the front bogie doesn't properly follow the track curvature and instead appears to lean more to the right; screenshot below to illustrate what I mean. I have no clue on how this may be fixed but I would have thought it would be possible.

Otherwise a good model, thanks for bringing them to our attention.

Glad you all enjoy them as it really lovely people are now moving to UK content a little more.

As for the 2P PLP, I could get hold of original modeler on your behalf as I've seen them floating around in the same discord servers I'm in. So I will give him a heads up 👍

There’s a tag you add to the bogie to allow them to slide left and right, I can’t remember its name but can easily be seen in most bogie configs, adding that, would fix that issue!
