Amazing I hope we get more stuff like this in the future perhaps some Liverpool and Manchester railway building.

In the past I never made any UK assets, so if you find some discrepancies please let me know!
Anyhow thanks to the hints I got here I have now some quite reliable sources for UK colour schemes...

The green roof looks strange to me. Are you sure it shouldn't be slates? I wouldn't like to say for definite what it was historically, but a quick search suggests to me that slates would be more likely...
On the other hand, if you have historical evidence that it should have copper sheets I'd be interested to see it!

It looks very good indeed Mick, the only thing I'd say is the roof looks odd - I've never seen a steel roof before, as far as I'm aware slates are usually the go to material.

Having said that, I've never studied the GNR in any detail so I may well be wrong!

Cheers,

PLP

Are you sure it shouldn't be slates?
No, not at all. I have to be honest in the drawing I only read the word copper and I thought okay fine it is a copper plated roof, totally normal in Germany at that time.

Now that I read the text complete it is clear they used slates fixed with two copper nails :)

Does anyone has a picture as a historic example?

mick1960!
