Possible new computer in very near future

Troll? Why don't you ask over at Train-sim.com if you think it's trolling. While your at it ask if my information is all B.S. also.

I've given some links in this thread to people who are well known in the train sim community, ask them if my information is B.S.
Ahh see you are taking everything out of context.
I never said your information was B.S. I said the stuff your trying to get people to buy is BS.
You simply do not need everything you think you do.
You don't take into consideration people's budgets. All you do say you should spend a mere 100 to 300 more you should get this, when you can get by without it.
At this point in time you do not need a 6 core processor, you also do need 24GB of ram. For the future? Yes you will, right now? No. Why spend 6K on stuff now when you can spend half if not less then half now, then upgrade to keep with the time, later for cheaper?
All it is is just who has the bigger you know what is what it comes down to. Look at me I can spend 8 grand on my computer because I need a bunch of useless crap.

But at least he is consistent with the misrepresentations and out of context quotes, I will give him that ...:hehe:

Ahh see you are taking everything out of context.

Trying to get people to buy, who?

Do they not possess a human brain that tells them what they can and cannot afford?

You simply do not need everything you think you do.

So you know what I need or don’t need, lol?

I also run other sims that will take advantage of multiple cores, one of which will take advantage of 16 cores actually.

A train sim that is currently in development that I’m testing right now already uses 4 cores, possible more in the future.

You don't take into consideration people's budgets.
I only give examples of what I know from actual experience will run the game well or what hardware won’t run the game well. Again the individual’s budget is their business not mine and I would expect they have enough sense to decide for themselves what they can or cannot afford.

Nice to see you changed the pics again.

Anybody can buy the latest, most expensive hardware at Newegg. A lot of first-timers here essentially do that. That's essentially what you recommend.

You have no concept of building within a budget. You don't know hardware well enough to do so.

You have no concept of matching hardware to needs i.e. Trainz, which everyone and their brother has been trying to get through to you. Which indicates what little you really know about even hardware, and that's your strong point. In other words, you don't need a $2,000 rig to run Trainz.

Ironically, the one - and only - valid argument (albeit weak) one can make for making a big investment in a Trainz computer is one you've never, ever made. Hint: I've pointed it out to you in the past.

You don't seem to know much about OS tweaking since your solution to everything has tended to be 'buy better hardware.' Tweaking is free. What little info you've demonstrated here (that I've seen) is limited and parroted from another site. You certainly give it short shrift.

You didn't know about EXIF data, hence this entire, hilarious Photoshop thing of yours, till I pointed out your images. Well, at least you've learned something and what to post/not to post. I'm man enough to admit I don't know everything and I learn something new every day. Are you?

Again, I'm trying to keep this civil here. Now, I have some more assets to go and fix.

No I don't know what YOU personally need or want for that matter.

OK so that is 2 programs that take use of more then 2 cores...now how bout the other millions of programs that do not? Why do you realistically need a 6 core processor at this current time to run a handful of programs when 90% of the programs can't even get past 2 cores?

Nice to see you changed the pics again.
I’ve given you an opportunity to prove it, so let’s see you do it.

Really? then what the hell would you call overclocking then, lol.

Where have you shown us anything that would lead us to believe you have any knowledge of tweaking an OS?

Prove it!

Lol, why would anyone need to run games on their PC period? Are games a necessity or are they entertainment?

If those other sims/games are my priority and if I choose to buy hardware that will run them to my satisfaction then who gives a chit about the other “millions of programs”?

Once again you take everything out of context...Where did I say games I am talking about ANY program you can think of.

I do not give a rats behind what you do with YOUR money, if you even have the system you claim you do. But when you influence other people to spend money on stuff they don't need THAT is WHERE the problem lies. No where else.

Just wanted to share my computer specs. Man ive got a whopping 128kb processor with 1mb ram chipset. My harddrive is at a massive 19mbs. My graphics card is the best out there an NVIDIA version 1 at 5hz. My PSU is a gerbil on a wheel. Just thought Id share that info. I have the bes computer out there and no one can say different. Heck I can even play Trainz 2010 and Crysis 2 on it.

I didn’t take it out of context at all, who cares what program or game it is, if that’s what the individual chooses to build a system for then so be it.

if you even have the system you claim you do.
Multiple systems not just one. Do I need to prove that to you also?

I’ll be glad to if you’d like.

But when you influence other people to spend money on stuff they don't need THAT is WHERE the problem lies. No where else.
Influenced? Now really, people in this forum aren’t that simple minded are they?

Who influenced the two other people that just chimed in this thread that just spent loads of money on high end hardware that according to you, is not needed?

Again if the individual doesn’t know what their own budget is and doesn’t do some homework then “THAT is WHERE the problem lies. No where else”.

So when you read a review about something you are looking at buying, you are saying that review has absolutely no influence on you buying the item in question? Get real.

That is why you read what everyone has to say about the item prior to buying. If person Y says it is good and person Z says it sucked your gonna at least rethink the purchase because of person Z saying it sucked.

But if you have a person that thinks they know what they are talking about and insisting that part A is better then part B many times, it will influence them into buying it more then showing the pros and cons.

Now yes people have high end systems with 24Gigs of ram, 6 core processors the works, good for them. But the average person DOES NOT need it. And for the sake of argument here in the trainz world you do not need the "works" to run trainz at it's full potential.

Now if you do extreme video editing and stuff of that nature then sure maybe a 6 core and an abundance of memory will do good for you.

Nah I gots me the coolest computer around. Everyone should have this top of the line model which is only a meager 5 grand to have. Can't afford it, awe to bad, you could always take a second mortage out on your home. This baby is worth it. I can do so much with it and it only weighs 100 lbs. Very portable. LOL

I know you aint talking about me...

You said my Dell is proprietary junk... remember?:hehe:

Yeah I read over at Anandtech that this particular $1200.00 CPU out performs this $500.00 CPU but I only have $700.00 to spend and then Anandtech influences me into purchasing the $1200.00 CPU that I can’t afford, lol.

Which I’ve given examples of, but of course the person reading the information has to have enough sense to know what the extra performance is worth and whether they can even afford it obviously.

Yes, yes look at all these average gamers (running flight and train sims) who are running on hardware that they just don’t need –

Right, which pretty much means to discard everything you say, since it's not appropriate to people's needs, let alone Trainz.

Wait, just a few posts back you recommending folks avoid "getting hardware information from a train game forum"!

How come to run the same games members in other sim forums say differently?

Wait, just a few posts back you recommending folks avoid

But of course I’d have to use those as an example since you wouldn’t step foot in one of those bad ol’ hardware forums where they might tell you something you don’t want to hear.
