Well considering this my thread, I guess it's ok if I bump it. Normally I won't this but I feel that is worth sharing.
The CSX S-line route is not by any means dead or vapor ware.
The current has 78 of the 198 miles in place. But there is big kink in the game plan. Most of the content is out of date, and the trees in 2012 have gone the way of the ghost.
So I decided to stop all work on the route some time back and start gathering new content. I have worked very closely with several content creators to bring on new content. Well by now it's new for the route.
Also I have decide that the route should take the name of the line thru Columbia.
With all that being said, I;m currently in the process of an entire ground up rebuild. I have changed the name of the route to the CSX FLORENCE DIVISION V5.0.
At the current time both NS and CSX bridges are in place as is Devine Street Jct in downtown Columbia. I'm currently working my south and have already completed the Carolina Eastman plant (AKA Eastman Kodak).
New to this route is the World Head Quarters for Harsco Rail (TAMPER CORP) located in Cayce SC. While this plant produces the MOW machines for all of Harsco Rail, it's really rather small. The plant also features the only slide transfer table that I know of in South Carolina.
Also the CSX Cayce yard and CMC Steel is complete. At this moment I'm working the CSX AUTO Terminal in Dixiana. All of these locations can be found on Google Earth. As with the first route, this route is 100% proto. Sometime over the next couple of days I'll get the new screen shots up. For now I guess that about covers it. For those that can't wait, the new shots are up in the SAXT Forums. You can find it by clicking the link below my sig.
