High Bridge Desert..

Back to some fresh air after all of the smoke and steam being generated elsewhere.

View through an old disused bridge.

Kilanzium, Mezzoprezo and Leen.........YOU MAKE ME SICK !

I'm wondering how I'm going to get to that high quality level for my own route.

:)
Keep up the good work and great screenshot !

Thank you all very much guys. Just like the game so much that not always trains are necessary. Knowing they are there is enough. ;)
Dinorius you are welcome her, but i think you'll mis Australia. Here some other nature pics.

Being the only country in Europe with yellow center line on our roads, I suppose it is Norway you are modeling ;). Unless someone imported a European Scania to the US...

Nice pics :) .

Good evening everyone.

There are a lot of nice complimentary remarks flying around in this thread. All appreciated by those to whom they are aimed I’m sure.

However, it takes more than just a rearrangement of assets into something that resembles reality. That’s the relatively easy bit IMHO.

One of the most important parts is the foundation on which any of this can be created, i.e. the Auran software. For me it remains the best creative tool I’ve ever used – it’s simply mind blowing.

Possibly more important is the massive availability of assets which we can all enjoy. A recent posting indicated how Auran themselves were surprised by the way uploads to the DLS had taken off and exceeded expectation.

For me, that is where the bar has really been raised. Assets over the past two years have just continued to get better and better. Many times when I’ve had the feeling they must have peaked, they still advance! The continuing improvements in modelling and texturing which have produced such stunning items to place in Surveyor really do make the artwork a joy to do, and hopefully enhances it as well.

This, and many other threads, pays deserved visual tribute to the work put in by the creators of all of the magnificent objects. Although a picture paints a thousand words, it’s a pleasure to write and say so occasionally. Long may you all continue with your immense and valued contribution to this great rail simulator. Huge thanks to them all!

Looking forward to that bar getting higher still.

You are very right, and just searching around for awesome assets and addons for Trainz, is entertainment in itself :D .

Still, in my opinion, the hardest thing of all to do when it comes to what turns up in this thread, and what really deserves applause, is not the placing of items, even though there is without doubt an enormous difference between good and bad item placing. What is the most impressive, is being able to make the landscape, meaning ground adjustings and texturing, looking good. That is not easy, and I am not even close to being there yet. BobCass' work is absolutely astonishing when it comes to this :D . Not saying that the work of mezzoprezzo, leen, kilanziom and many others is also impressing :) .

Hey,
I can only agree when you say that non of this would be possible without the makers of this sim and most of all the builders of all creations. As i speak for myself; i can only show them content in the most beautiful way, but i did not make them. So i think the real hero's are the one who make the content. Without them i wouldn't be half the fun. Thank you all for making all those wonderful things for TRS and thanks for sharing (freeware most of the time even) :Y:

Greetings,
Leen

PS Huub, when do you put your pictures here? You're still the Master painter. (Yep, capital M) And thanks everybody for the nice words.
