Thanks Stationbeem.

Your grey skies are very topical for the UK, although today was nicer!

Summer memories and hopes for better weather to come.

Gone fishing!

Cheers

Awesome shot, I'm a fishing fool myself. I have been looking for a 3D fisherman, is that what I see over there? If so, would you be so kind as to tell me where he came from?

Thanks Motorbreath.

The fisherman (and his friend) are, I believe, both on the DLS. Unfortunately I can no longer access the DLS to check out for sure, or to identify the creator.

They are from left to right:

I wanted fishermen as well, but these were the closest I could find. The whip kind of looks like a fishing rod from a distance, with their backs to the audience. Probably accounts for the fact that they’ve caught sod all in the two months they’ve been sat there.

Hope you have better luck.

Tight lines!

Kuid 217096:602244 "People Fisherman 2"
Kuid 217096:602243 "People Fisherman 1"

Both should be on the DLS.

@ stationbeem

Thanks for the kuid details for the anglers. I missed those when I did my original DLS search.

I’ve now had a go at Antarctica.

Out of interest, has anyone made a penguin?

It feels a little disrespectful to take advantage of PC Pauline (I hesitate to say abuse) just for the sake of enhancing a screenshot.

Cheers

@ robd and usaoz89

Thanks guys for for your nice words - and penguin details!

I’ve moved back to something a bit warmer.

Here’s a view from an old farm high above the small town of Cortello, part of my Italian Riviera route, on an early summer morning.

wow that looks great casper
you might get few great trains pics out of that like sitting in the cab and looking at the sea

Thanks usaoz89.

It will be difficult to get a cab shot from that angle because the tracks are in the wrong position.

I’m building a rough representation of the Italian Riviera where the current higher speed double track line is mainly laid through tunnels in the more mountainous areas.

I’ve also built part of the now defunct, and very bendy, coastal single track line. Nowadays it is, in parts, a really nice pedestrian walkway and cycle track. Neither line is very high above sea level. Although the old coastal route has some nice low level views as it emerges from tunnels and rounds the many headlands, you have to drive up the mountains to get the good views.

Here’s another view from high above the small beach and harbour at Portovino.

Cheers
