K&L Trainz Steam Locomotive pics!

Did you fix that ? or did the update do this ? ( I hope ) Nice shot's BTW. ( Always like seeing PRR ) I've been missing that little engine. And is this a beta, or did I miss out ? :hehe:

Man the Polar Express car's look great Steve, as alaways

I'm not sure if these were shot in T:ANE, I could be wrong......When I finish the Polar Express, i'll be updating the B1 for T:ANE.

It is in TANE 78667

I did fix it, sort of. I ran the pm files through PEV's pm2im, replaced the "pm" with "im" in the config.txt, and ran AssetX repairs on the textures. Nothing else! Only problem that has cropped up is a coupler red bug which doesn't disable the coupling or uncoupling. I have not tried in cab operations though.

Edit: I'm talking about the B1, the #94 worked without any editing, as did the other freeware on the K&L site.

YEAH BABY!!! :D

I love the 1225! Thank you for making it! My family and I rode behind her last year and we got to sit on her front while having a picture taken. I could feel the heat! :D

Just to point out, 1225 doesn't have flag poles by her pilot and her tender doesn't have grab irons.

Since the model is weeks from release there's really no need to point out everything that isn't right yet.

I haven't even pulled up a picture of the 1225 to start making legit changes other than the initial mods last September.

Give it time!

I for one liked what I saw as to the 1225 :D, but I'm a steam nut.... so ! And the cars looked great to . Steve

( normhart ) It's nice to see her in TANE regardless, like your consists in that last shot . Likewise the P5 Boxcab, that I'll need to try and get running on mine, but nice shots again .

Regarding heat, at Railfest 2014, I decided to take a picture of 4501's valve gear. However, steam was leaking from either the cylinder cocks or escaping from the piston itself, so I was concerned how hot the steam was. I was surprised that the steam swirling around me felt like it had the temperature of warm water. I always thought that the steam would be searing hot, but maybe the ambient temperature had something to do with the temperature of the steam.

Generally the steam cools quite rapidly upon exiting the locomotive and hitting the cooler air. I have stood 4 feet from the bottom end of the injector on a Shay locomotive while it was in use and I have yet to feel any temperature difference due to the steam except on VERY cold days.

Sorry about that. I guess I let my inner gimme-pig out, as 1225 is one of my favorite steam locomotives. :o

All good....its just frustrating being told inaccuracies when literally just started and hadn't even really done anything yet!

Theres still plenty to fix. Need to remove the 6th sanding line, need to add the curved backing plates on the pilot foot boards, engine needs an all newer reverser since its powered by a wheel. Upsizing some of the textures since the older small ones are little rough looking.

The 765 gets a leg up on the 1225 as they sprint towards Hurricane, WV for the next Photo Run-by during the 1991 NRHS Convention.

Sorry for quoting the pic, but this is Barboursville, right?

Yes.....when this actually occured, the 1225 was the one that was in the lead and blocked the 765 from everyone standing trackside at this location.

I have the power to correct that little blip in history :)

I just love to watch this over and over again. :D
1225 was haulin' while 765 was taking it easy. Only one inch difference in drivers. Amazing, isn't it?
