Did you fix that ? or did the update do this ? ( I hope ) Nice shot's BTW. ( Always like seeing PRR ) I've been missing that little engine. And is this a beta, or did I miss out ? :hehe:
Matt
Just to point out, 1225 doesn't have flag poles by her pilot and her tender doesn't have grab irons.
. . . we got to sit on her front while having a picture taken. I could feel the heat!
Generally the steam cools quite rapidly upon exiting the locomotive and hitting the cooler air. I have stood 4 feet from the bottom end of the injector on a Shay locomotive while it was in use and I have yet to feel any temperature difference due to the steam except on VERY cold days.Regarding heat, at Railfest 2014, I decided to take a picture of 4501's valve gear. However, steam was leaking from either the cylinder cocks or escaping from the piston itself, so I was concerned how hot the steam was. I was surprised that the steam swirling around me felt like it had the temperature of warm water. I always thought that the steam would be searing hot, but maybe the ambient temperature had something to do with the temperature of the steam.
Since the model is weeks from release there's really no need to point out everything that isn't right yet.
I haven't even pulled up a picture of the 1225 to start making legit changes other than the initial mods last September.
Give it time.
Sorry about that. I guess I let my inner gimme-pig out, as 1225 is one of my favorite steam locomotives.![]()
Sorry for quoting the pic, but this is Barboursville, right?
