K&L Trainz Steam Locomotive pics!

1225 had a 31 car passenger train, and 765 had a 25 car empty hopper train....not much of a contest there lol

And wikipedia says they both have 69" drivers.

Hmmm, I always thought that 1225 had 70" drivers. I believe she had a fully loaded passenger train so maybe she had the advantage. ;)

Apparent most of the Lima Berk designs were 69".

That 91 NRHS convention was nothing but problems for 1225. Mechanical issues the day of the side by side and then the next day they ran double headed to Hinton and 1225 ended up having a crack leading to water being spraying in the firebox, so the engine was useless.
So 765 pulled 1225 and 31 cars alone :D

Interesting. I remember that when she traveled to WV from MI she had to be restricted to 25 MPH because of speedometer problems. Good thing she met 765 in Lima. She did all the work. :D

They tacked on a CSX diesel at Walbridge Yard to speed the move to Lima, might have boosted the speed but I'm not sure. I'm amazed that the engineers were able to synchronize the sounds of the exhaust in some of the areas. Simply incredible

While I was giving myself early C&O Christmas presents I figured I'd better get K&L's C&O Greenbriers to go with gawpo50's H8s.

The Pere Marquette 1225 is done! Just some minor work on the cars and website and she'll be ready to ride!

And also much has been done with the next beast on the list! Definitely showcases the class characteristics of the N&W A!

They aren't there. No need to point out details that aren't even incorrect.
Great job, but it also needs black wheels on the tender trucks. Also, will the N&W A Class locomotive have an articulated enginesound like sounds of the 1218 or something?
