K&L Trainz Steam Locomotive pics!

I have blueprints for almost every UP engine. My trip to Cheyenne is in hopes to meet Ed Dickens and see the steam shops. Theres ALOT of UP engines that this game needs. Pretty much all UP engines are needed.

With UP being my favorite of the Class Is I can't wait to get new models of their steam locomotives and I agree with Daylight in that we need updated Big Boy and Challenger models.

A big thank you to whoever commissioned this engine , and to K&L Steve for another great addition to the roster :D While I'm at it . thanks for all the commission at K&L , not a bad one in the lot ................

A little race

Matt
I have to agree Matt, I am not much of an oil burner fan but 819 is a beauty!

Can someone tell me what numbers to input on the K4 Postwar and the K4 Prewar? I'm trying to script it to have ARN so I need to know the lowest K4 number and the highest K4 number or whatever to input for the low & high.

Here is what I am going to set the ARN.

The PRR had 425 K4s. Numbers were staggered from single digits, all the way into the 8300s. They were getting them so fast that they just reused retired engine numbers on the newer ones as they were delivered. So it's hard to come up with a list when it's literally all over the place. This page has a pretty decent breakdown of most of the engines by number, you'll see how crazy it is when you scroll down to the K4s. http://www.northeast.railfan.net/prr_steam6.html

Oh jesus. I've already looked at the list and thats why I put it at 3600 & 5899. But do I put a speci...

Nevermind. I'll try 3700 to 4124. But the engine number still shows up as 1361 when I place it. Do I have to change something else in the config to allow for ARN?

Steves K4 are equipped with manual running numbers. His newers engines that do auto running numbers use lilb's script library.

And how do I get Lilb's script onto his K4's? Also:

What have I done...

1522 takes a excursion to St. Louis starting from Chicago.
About 2 miles out of Chicago, a railfan manages to get a picture of 1522 running past a RR crossing
(Note: Route will not be distributed due to agreement with author)

1522 crosses over from track 2 due to a Metra commuter blocking track 2 from a small derailment.

1522 Video just uploaded.

Normhart, that D16 looks a bit different...

I purchased the D16sb 4-4-0 awhile ago prior to the free version coming out. I received the #6217 (shown) and #1223 which is about the same as the free version but without ARN. (The free version has quite a few improvements)

Both have minor issues in TANE unlike the free version.

(The larger engine in the last shot is an E7 4-4-2 offered on the K&L web page as an E2a)

A lot of the original K&L models, especially Bill's pre-K&L models resulted with minor T:ANE issues like random floating objects and config errors. Seems as new T:ANE builds come out, little things that were never an issue for 5 years end up being an issue now. Trying to keep up with them is such a pain....or P:ANE!

The rebuild of the D16 was actually started a few years back. Mark Cole had approached me back in 2013 before joining K&L and had a list of things he wanted added and changed on it to make it more accurate. After we finally finished all the updates last year, he had no problem with that version being used as the new freeware version. Since he almost exclusively uses T:ANE, his updated version is bug free in T:ANE. I never bothered trying to update the earlier 1800s version of the D16, mostly due to it's extreme unpopularity. We timed it out so the new E7s and D16sb re-release would be come out the same time.

Most of the bugs in the D16 were with the driver mesh. You could probably swap the older D16s drivers with the newer D16s drivers. The cylinders are slightly different, but they should line up at least.

*Just noticed in your picture that you already seem to have swapped out the drivers on the older D16!
