What? Why? Old models? What are you on about?
Hi JB.Just because I have to wait for the next batch of drawings for the Litra H2 there is absolutely no reason for laying idly by. This is the non-smoking compartment of a 1939 DSB Litra CL commuter wagon. Only some curtains missing before it is time for texture baking.

But I'm curious, what have you been changing since the last update?
Will you use bumpmaps with alpha channel for detailed specular?
Cheers

I wish I would have such experiences in using Blender as well. I am still using Gmax
Your's TUME
I believe that it is worth spending a few weeks to get used to Blender3D, the result will please you.
Paul Hobbs has made some good tutorials for Blender from start to finish. They can be found HERE.
For importing the Gmax files, you would have to first import it into 3DS Max, then save it as a .max file, then import it into blender. The whole process can be found at these links: GMAX to 3DS Max - 3DS Max to Blender
- Do you know some links to online tutorials for beginners (also showing how to export data to name.im files for trainz)?
- Is there any chance to import gmax-source-files into Blender?
Thanks in advance.
Your’s TUME
1. There are books on google called Blender for Dummies. TEH members used this to start out. Its free to download.
2. There is a script for gmax called gmax2obj or something similar. Just export your models via .obj using that macro script and notepad then import to blender via .obj format
