Auran gearing up

You can import older routes, but you'll have the problem that legacy content is not included and if you import it into TC3 you'll need to be sure there are no errors in it by checking it with CMP.

Have had a good look at the signaling page, would older sigs such as LMS or GWR sems work to the new standard?
This would seem to be good platform for other 1960's era routes, like QR, as I suppose road traffic and people would be appropriate for the period.

Any chance of a very brief & concise description of what exactly is new or improved in TC3 compared to trs2006 please? And by that I mean the game itself, not the content or routes included in it.

Thanks for that list & I'll actually take back what I said & state that thats enough changes/improvements for me to buy TC3.

So apologies for being so negative.:)

Just one thing, is it possible to add some of the new features & it still work ok in trs2004? i.e. will the additions just be "dead" in 04 or stop the loco working altogether?

I'm still building locos to 04 spec modified to also work in 06. I dont want to have to have a second TC version as well to be honest.

The main things that concern me are the revised steam engine spec & sound.

Believe it or not, some of us have read the TC3 website and decided there's not really anything of interest for us.
I can understand there being not enough of interest to warrant a purchase, but with a revamped signalling system is there really nothing of interest?

Being pretty ignorant myself (I'm sure you guessed that :)), are the improvements not relevant to North America practices or is there not enough information to say?

I hope the alpha-channel texture improvements stop that weird back-to-front effect you get when travelling past trees and other items with transparency..

BUY!! BUY!! BUY!!

BUY! BUY! BUY!

By all means buy! In fact buy two copies. Then maybe they will have enough money to honor their commitments regarding the Trainz Classics Contest. Was nice of ROB to close the other thread regarding the contest without even mentioning it's status. Is that turning a blind eye? Not very professional, is it?. Oh well!!! Wow!! What a way to make the customers want to remain loyal. Yes just turn the other cheek and BUY! BUY! BUY!

Yeah this new edition looks good, way better than than TC 1&2. Personally, I won't be buying TC3 no matter how good it is until the TC route building competition is finalized. It's all very well for Rob to spruik the marvels of TC3 in this thread, but not bother with TC competition threads. Seems he can take the time post in forums when he want to?

Just wondering if any one read the rules to the competition before entrying

If NO or YES read Rule no13 again

And i wont debate or reply to any nasty replies

This is what Electro is suggesting you to read and understand:

13. Cancellation of the Trainz Classics Route Builders Competition

We may suspend or cancel the Trainz Classics Route Builders Competition or your participation, without notice to you, should any bug, virus, other harmful code, unauthorised intervention, glitch, technical failure, unexpected problem or tampering, or factor for which we are not responsible (or which is otherwise beyond our control) affect or in our opinion be likely to affect proper running of the Trainz Classics Route Builders Competition as planned by us.

Please note that I posted this as a public service to the Trainz Community...please do not blame me for what Rule number 13 states.

Hi Gary

I have quite a few of your locos and find they load and run well in TC.

DaveW

Hi Dave, thats good to know, thanks.

But what I'm also curious to know is if I use the new style TC3 sounds or engine spec does that mean the loco no longer works in 04 or 06?

I dont fancy having to set up one load of locos for 04 & 06 & another load for TC if you see what I mean. Its surprising how many people are still only using 04 so long after it was released, me included.

Since my PC died a few months back I havent reinstalled 06 as I only use it for testing but will be shortly.

Good afternoon, Sethmcs,

Oldest Kuid I am aware of.... vendel:52

The KUID 52 is the common KUID of the FMA, so that is a team-KUID :hehe: . My own KUID is 96663, Vendel is 149987. We borrowed a common KUID from Auran, and received KUID:52. Which is impossible to find on the DLS as shortest search-allowed number MUST have at least four digits :hehe: .
