Auran gearing up

Even allowing for members that have bought multiple copies a million seems a bit far fetched, ah the power of advertising

Cheers David
Perhaps it includes all the copies that have been sold to retailers, Walmart probably took one or two? Maybe the route CDs are thrown in as well. Plus there are probably one or two multiple copy owners. When I get TC3 that will be my sixth shot at the proggy.

Bit disappointed no-one seems to want to talk features. Personally, I reckon see through water (again) will be a plus. Fixing the steam sound and prototypical signalling are two features that have been requested/remarked upon for years.

As some-one who prefers to Trainz in the past, not having noughties active passengers on platforms and in the trains will be another very worthwhile enhancement.

I think the extra features will be worth the money (and hassle of moving content once again) and hope that this will be the most significant update of Trainz since TRS04.

I have not looked at the screen shots but, are there any houses on the tracks?

I hope not, otherwise there will be a hell of a derailment...........:hehe: :hehe:

I thought incidentally, that someone had the Kuid number of 9, wasn't he from Poland, so by this method, he is one of the all time oldest Trainz members.....

And TC3 will be my 11th purchase of a Trainz CD/DVD, so I know for a fact, that there haven't been a million individual purchases.

Happy Trainzing folks...

Cheerz. a very poorly ex-railwayman at the moment, hopefully I'll be firing on all cylinders very soon.....:(

We're not talking features because there is a whole website devoted to TC3, its content and features and this has been available for anyone to read for months now. Go it http://www.trainzclassics.co.uk to read about the new stuff.

Might have to get TC3 for the updated AI braking means I don't have to build flat yards or passing loops to stop that train creep problem jeez I've hade to botch up some good DEM layouts to get around that problem. Thing that worries me is they won't say if they have fixed that save game problem I don't want it if thats not fixed. The english content has absoloutly no interest to me

Cheers

What does that make Euphod?:7592

It makes me an old coot that just wants to disagree with someone....anyone....about something, or anything. You see, I have reached the point in my life when I realize I am impotent, and unable to affect real change, so I huff and puff and contradict anything said by anyone to pretend I am significant, when I am really past my prime and sad in my posturing.

It's hell getting old!

BTW: 7592 in no way reflects the order in which I joined Trainz, as many user ID's do not. When the idea for the KUID or user ID came about, we were given the choice to decide our own, up to certain number of members 200, 2000....I don't remember! I chose 7592 because it has significance to me. After all those that were allowed to choose did so, then they started being assigned in a numerical order, if this old coot remembers correctly.

Oh my, Euphod is older than user IDs. Bows in reverance.:hehe:

I will get anticipory when TCX (or XX?) with the 1950 Western Pacific from Bieber and Reno to Oakland is anounced. :udrool: :o

I'd like to see the Horseshoe Curve TC version. A friend of mine is an NS engineer that drives the helper locos up and down the curve told me that Microsoft had a team studying the horseshoe curve presumably to make a route for MSTS. Don't know if that ever happened.

I seem to recall it was a time thing.... 'you have until [date] to select a number, then we'll assign them automatically'.

I also recall that the automatic numbering didn't start at 1, but the first 10,000 or something were only going to be given to those that chose them.
I was here when it happened, didn't pick a number and got assigned 35412. I know for sure there weren't 35,000 members because the beta hadn't even been released at the time.

Mike.

Most games have downloadable patches to correct "issues", you don't have to buy the new edition.
The problem of signals not working prototypically has always been there, try putting a passing loop on a curve. It doesn't matter what sig you put before the junction an AI train picks the shortest route. Now it seems these sort of issues might be solved, but why has it taken so long to do so?
Couldn't this have been fixed in TRS2006 or even 2004? Should we just move all our routes to TC3 to get proper signaling? I suppose Auran would like us all to dump earlier TRS and just use TC!

I hate to burst the bubble about kuid's, but when initially proposed, we were all able to pick our own numbers...if they were available.

Sorry,

Boco;)
