(WIP) Metra Budd Bi-Level cars for trainz

Pics speak itself. After seeing Perrock new South Bay's Logos, i will desing a skin for the F40PH in the Blue Line colours. I am going to be off because now im on holiday at a village and i will come back to home on Sunday. There is not much to do, i know that i say this a lot of times , and to change. To get a F40PH i would need to delete the Boxed lights and to change the nose edges smooth (make them smaller) and to change things like doors, stepfloors, and some roof details. I am planning in getting all F40PHs . No new updates, sorry. Ah yes and i have read somewhere that there were some F40PHs rebuilt into freight engine, wich ones does are they?

Only real ones I know of work for CSX there are still a good number of Ex Amtraks running on various tourist railroads or in private hands though. A couple examples are the 239 and 237 running the Grand Canyon Railway here in Arizona and the couple that Ski Train owns, I think there's one owned by friends of #844 (or something) that's in daylight scheme and man does she look good in it

well I hope that the f40s are reskinnable of it. because almost ALL of the f40s were used in the US and Canada (mostly by Amtrak, Metra, Tri-Rail, Coaster, Cal-Train, and frieght train related to this loco such as CSX, Rio Grande, and NS i think). just give me a headset and i'll pull it off.

The current plans for SBCX don't actually involve having blue cars (for the Blue Line). However recently I've been considering making a car or two for promotional purposes for the opening of the Blue Line. The Green Line will have it's own paint scheme as it uses different equipment.

Let me know when you get closer to texturing and I can give you a copy of the branding guidelines for SBCX.

Rio Grande doesn't have any F40's they haven't operated since the cali zephyr failed iirc NS had plans and apparently they leased a couple from Amtrak but they never changed schemes.
and well CSX, they got a couple a google image search will tell ya that.

if you look closely at the picture you posted. the Ski Train F40s are actually owned by Amtrak (note the "AMTK" above the number). the F40s are now owned by Algoma Central.

Metra is a great railroad, now with great Trainz content. I love the F40PHM-2. Wasnt somebody working on one awhile ago?

Everything is looking amazing! I've been waiting for all this Metra stuff since I first bought trainz and all this waiting has finally paid off! Do you have any updates on your Bi-level cars? Those are going to be just as amazing (if not more:hehe as your F40PH's. Thanks!

Edit: Also I'm just wondering if your bi-level cars are still going to have these features.

And the cabcar and other cars will have Animated doors,animated trucks,night mode, custom cab and other things.

Just looking between the two... wow that looks amazing. I've heard that some of the european trainz have an Auto Name Script for some of their named trains. I wonder if it'd be possible to get the euro trainzer's to let you use their AN script for these. if so that'd probably save bandwidth and make it easier to get more of the different named locos. Regardless Very Good looking train you got there. and just seeing these is making Phoenix AZ flood XD

They are not F69s totally different units they are F40PHM-2s....

147s OLS does not exists anymore it is just another F40PH-3 after the rebuilt only OLS unit out there is 214 F40PHM-2.....

Why would you reskin it to NJT when all he has to do is make one? NJT F40PH skin on a Metra F40PH-2 would look completely different. Just wouldn't look right at all.

Actually the F69PHAC Amtrak uses is very similar to the F40PHM-2, most of it is all the same. Either.....I cannot wait for them!

OH NOES we got a negative Nancy in the house.

The only external difference I have ever noticed was the strobe, the Metra only style for the emergency/gyra and the light locations (which is affected by the emergency/gyra). internally I'm sure they are two different engines.
given one was built for commuter service and the other was (going to be) used for long distance trains.

Who said he had to model a present day f40? for all I care he could do a RTA F40 and it'd still fit into someone's layout.

And a Metra Skin on a F40PH skin doesn't look funny to you*? the community works with what they have, nobody said any of it had to be perfect or proto.

geez people these days >.> complaining over everything they don't like... isn't that what made Conny leave? somebody kept *itching about her content not being to the person's standards?

*on the note of the F40ph with metra colors that's an example of the community using what they had. wasn't proto at all but it was plausable and patched a hole that would otherwise not be filled.
