What is Trainz Simulator 12 ?

The 2500 Collector copies may take a long time to sell with out any known specs/requirements unless you are just a "Box Collector".

As was pointed out a long time ago on a gaming forum:

"If you need to know the specs you ain't got 'em"

This is now "complaining" thread of TRS 12...

Hi, this thead was supposed to give the answer to it's title. It has gone far and seems to became the ''complaining thread of TRS 12''. We all know that a collector's edition is in general always more expensive then the standard edition. If you don't want to pay for these bell and whistle that has this limited edition, why not wait the standard edition and stop complaining about it ?

But I must admit that Auran does not give enough information about the feature and the spec and the compatibility mode...hope someone from the Auran's team will answer soon. Even if we complain about the high price, I doubt NV3 reply: OK guys we are going to reduce the price......we don't care that much about money...

Rail4Pete

Yes exaclty, however I changed it so people could share their thoughts on Trainz Simulator 12. But yes the thread has been thrown into the 'complaining thread of TRS 12''...

That's something I didn't intend on doing...

No big deal. It happens everytime a new version comes out. This too shall pass.

HISTORY REPEATS ITSELF AGAIN........

It is a known fact that.......

Anytime N3V (aka Auran in the past) announces a new Trainz series a flurry of complaints take over the forums.

Most of the complaints are from people who do NOT know anything about what is being released or planned for the new series.

As seen here.... history does repeat itself.

Have fun,

I see that Leefer beat me to it.......

Complaints are no less thoughts than compliments, and some fine logic has appeared in this thread.

I have to ask why the perennial pessimism?

Of course it has been said that pessimists are simply better informed optimists.

Hi guys again,

I recall one day in the dark ages when ex-RS now RWs (everybody knows what this stands for, no need to expand it) was released and their new forum opened that I dared to show my nose in there to tell something about my now 4-layer-dusted copy of that sym (yes, I wrote 'sym', no misspelling):

I was fulminated, thrown a lightning of ire and
zatocabreo.gif
, massacred,
porrazo.gif
and
sierra.gif
.

Of course, I
perro.gif
away as fast as I could. No getback since then.

Do you like this forum to be as funnily kind as that? Complaints are the spice of being a customer... aren't you customers? I thought you were.

Maybe what N3VRF4il needs is shareholders, not satisfied customers. I'm checking Friday's Stock Exchange values just in case. ;)

;) But dear Justin, we have you to inform us properly... from the inside. Who cares about being NDActed? A two-million Klingon dollars sue? Just a tiny stone on the way! ;)

Where? At home? ;) Your site?

when the complaints are baseless and formed by misinformation or pure speculation and conjecture they are useless and have no place.

I'm sorry, but I don't let others do my thinking for me. The truth will ALWAYS come out in the end, and until then if someone wants to speculate, dabble in conjecture, complain without base or form said complaints formed by misinformation it's just fine with me. Of course, I respect your frustration with this as well, and believe that your expression of it here only serves to broaden the sea of opinions about '12. It's fascinating to read the fears, questions, and curiosities expressed in this thread. It's revealing to read what is important to certain members and not to others. Each person who posts gives us a glimpse into their personality.

The forum is, after all, an exercise in conversation, a venue for asking questions and providing information. If we were trying to diffuse a bomb in a mineshaft I would be among the first to scream "SHUT UP!" at someone dabbling in hearsay, but here, now, I have coffee and all the time in the world....

;)...:hehe:... which leads us to the initial speculation of the primal question of the thread...

What is Trainz Simulator 12 ?

:D And a new turn of desirable idiosyncratic speculations begins... dear respected Justin letting it, of course. ;)

Hi Everybody.
I have been away from trainz and the forum for a few days traveling on genuine railways and using my computers to earn an extra crust. Therefore on return I wondered what all the talk of Trainz 12 was about. On looking it would seem to be advertised as a " limited edition collectors copy" which to me would imply that it would be something you would purchase to keep without use while its value over the years increases.

Whether the value of any Trainz item would become a genuine antique is a matter of individual judgment. In Britain you only have to think of the 1950s children's comics to realize how once every day throw away items can become very valuable. With software there are no great signs of the early " cassette tape programs" gaining any appreciable value (though I could stand to be corrected if anybody knows better).

However, I think I will put the extra income I have earned over the last few days in my savings account where even with the very poor interest rates being offered at present I have a feeling it will maintain its value better than this "Trainz offer". As for Trainz 12 I will wait and see what extra it offers when the normally priced download version becomes available.

Bill

NB:- I to have a four-year-old copy of RS and find it makes a very good beer mat as it was valueless when I bought it and is probably worth even less now.
:D

Alberte.... the simple answer is.....

It is the next release of the Trainz series from N3V.

I hope that helps you.:)

Hi, dear trainzy friend Ron,

:p:hehe: Thank you for your help. I was absent-minded and lost in the the world of Speculation World. Now I'm guided and brought back to the right track and true Creedence. I have faith again. ;) I used to label it as "new attempt" instead of "new series" but good old Ron opened up my eyes again after falling off my horse with no name la la la la la la la I've been through the desert on a horse with name , which suddenly has been named Apocalypse Now.

Also, I am concerned that there has been no post in this thread from IsambardKingdomBrunel.

I do hope he is OK.
:hehe: Dear IKB is just viewing another amusing teaching nice thread -->

Have a nice rest of this Sunday, Ron.

I'm staying on this source, it seems to be funnier.

N3VRF41lers' Monday is going to be even funnier. Ozzie autumn is arriving and they'll need some amusement.
