Upload To DLS

The "Upload to DLS" is way out of wack (for me).
Incredibly, every time I have an asset to go on DLS, the D-------- ?? thing tells me I am "Not logged In".
I AM LOGGED IN on every part of Trainz. Even if I log off and close every friggin' thing, (which there aren't hardly many things I can do
at once) Sometimes it still won't let me upload.

What do I need to do EVERY time I need to upload something without going through a tumultuous enemy to get it on-line. ?? HUH ????? :'(

Use the tried and true upload process through My Trainz (Planet Auran). It works every time where as the Content Manager method is flaky.

Yeah the upload feature I personally avoid as you never know if its going to be a success or a fail.
If you do what John said above and go to https://www.auran.com/planetauran/YC_main.php and log in there, select upload and then either standard (which everything is automatic) or preview area upload (where you'll have to come back once its been approved so you can manually approve or decline it).
That's what I use as everything has a higher success rate of being uploaded than from CM.

Cheers

You both have been a huge help. I had not known that a few more steps in that section would have given me a better day ahead. I just figured out another step that has to be done - pick the item
that goes to DLS, import it as a CDP file and land it on the desktop. When you need to pick the upload item, the CDP file will go so much easier.
I now wonder why the Content Manager method won't work as good as the other. Oh well. Back to the work bench. I'm working on a lot of bridges and with the usual approval, I'm busy uploading
all that I am given. Thanks so much for the help I get from everyone. I'll probably be back with another gripe.

I think some parts are not connected to other parts. For example, if I want to post a screenshot or some image, I have to log into the Gallery to upload an image, even though I am logged into everything else.

You are so right, Forester. Some things are on another server which makes the processing faster in some respects. And whether you are in line with another server, getting your answer (work)
done any faster is on another planet. That's where I've been living for the past month.

It may be that they are saving a lot of money using Linux servers instead of Windows, so they may not have things like Active Directory to authenticate multiple places at once. But I think even with Linux there are modules that will allow this, but they may not have the type of technical team to put it together. As always and everywhere, there are tradeoffs. Fortunately, my browser usually puts my userid and password in wherever I need it, so I can just click "Login", and it works.
