Happy New Year everyone! I have a question it to do with up dating/upgrading. I have these problems:
AGP memory 61 MB free
Vertex shaders version 1.1 (open GL- Failure)
Pixel shaders (directx failure)(open GL-failure)
Spherical environment mapping (Directx-failure)
I got these when I installed 09,What do they mean & how do I fix them?
If I need to down load something from the Internet I would need an address I haved tried before looking things up and alway get the wrong thing.
Thanks for your help

Hi Danny

This would all seem to point toward your graphics card. You did not say what card you are running but I would suggest to you that either you need to download some new drivers for the card or replace it with one that has a bit more poke. Can you come back with some card info?

An oddity here also is the ref to AGP. I have PCI Express but my checks only refer to AGP, which I am not using. Nonetheless - you should still get a memory value for the AGP.

If that helps? Need more? then come back and we can see what we can do for you.
Regards Doug

If you're lucky and you have something like an ASUS motherboard you can change the AGP aperture memory in the BIOS. Make sure you have at least 3 gigs of memory first.

The other stuff means your video card is a bit dated. An ATI 385 AGP card should fix this. Newegg have them for about $120.

That mean I wont be using 09 then. Can't afford that at this time. I have no problem with 06 till I up graded my nvidia drivers now the screen flashes so bad that i can't do anything. Thanking of removing the drivers.

This sounds like video driver problems.
What card are you using?
Download latest drivers for it. If ita ATI based, then use ATI uninstall tool to remove old drivers. Install new.
Also check CPU to AGP chipset drivers. May need update.

Thanks Steamboateng But i think i will leave it the way it is. I have my 04 back after tiring for a mouth back in first of 08.
