Just out of asking how did you change the numbers on the Super D of Mine, have you changed the alpha map?

Hi I don't Think i changed the alpha map although I'm not sure what that is all I did was change the textures to as you see on it now.

After the Penzance Local arrives not long after the Valley Auto Coach leaves Port Argyle to do the morning run. Here it is passing through the Town of Port Argyle.

Regarding my question. There are a few pictures here that have the brake van behind the locomotive, or have two brake vans, one at each end.

I know I've heard that sometimes in the US (when cabooses were common) railroad companies would periodically run with two cabooses, usually when there were more crew members than usual or had a head end brakeman.

in the Uk on most preserved railway (i never saw in BR days.) they oftern run two brake vans on one train, so when the loco runs round the train theres a brake van at the other end,

at the railway i used to work at Churnet Valley Railway they used to do it alot

there is some scence behind the UK madness....lol

I have seen this many times where two brake vans are stuck behind the locomotive my example a short piece of footage of and Ivatt 4mt with pulling a short goods train with two brake vans behind the loco. Mostly this was because they needed to move the brake van to somewhere else and this was the best way of doing it.
 
Also sometimes a extra brake van was added to the train was added to the train when additional braking power would be required, this was in the days before wagons had lococontrolled brakes
 
I've seen footage of a loco and 20 odd brakevans going through Wellingboro


well it was a brake van special charter!
 
lol what was the motive power? I once saw 92212 on one truck and one brake van lol overkill :p

cool, they were good locos but I have heard they were prone to there brakes sticking on after a while, (story from local MPD) so when the brakes were re applied they were being put on harder than before each time :hehe::hehe:

TlBlade that second picture is classic 9F, it looks really stern and intent on its duty.

Some from the Colliery on my Pennine Route Colliery Run, which I intend to make my first DLS release (been building it since late January so I shouldn't be long once Bradford Exchange is rebuilt.) (I use real names as A. I am usless at thinking up made up names, and B. I am building the route as it was with goods yards and starions in the right order just to a ficticiouse track plan, the same goes for built up areas and bascially the entire route lol)

Here the loco slips slighty as she takes the strain of the wagons weight, a full slip would rquire her to go back to the bottom and start the climb again

On the steapest part of the climb you can see the gradient as you look along the train

passing the Green Peckett 'up top' number one is back on the flat and makes ready to uncouple and move out of the way so the wagons can be marshalled.
