Just a reminder what Georgem2010's GER station building kitset pieces look like. The original GER 1860's station building design could be adapted to any location as needed and the same thing is possible with the kitset.

Installed on my own Norfolk layout at Great Marsh.

GER oil lamps next to the much older generic lamp from the early days of Trainz.

Trying out Carmine livery along with a Quad-Art composite and brake 3rd as a faux Gresley Push-Pull option. Checking against an old colour photo tells me it's plausible.
My Norfolk layout is still a WIP with fixing broken things. Most of the stations still have banjaxed interactive platforms.

Cairnrigg yard in N.E.R. guise on my not released TRS22 version of Cairnrigg to Balessie route. I didn't release it because it wasn't worth it with N3V busy playing bust your stuff with every 'update'.
I've since transferred it into TRS19 and I'll continue to work on it so it might end up on the DLS one day.

I always intended my Cairnrigg to Balessie route to look grim and bleak with overcast skies so it's a little odd to see it in bright sunlight with lush grass everywhere.

In theory the Stephenson built Bouch 4-4-0's should have been withdrawn some years ago, but I don't care because I like them.

Still my favourite part of the route.

Never fear, the dismals on the Hopewood Tramway are only there in my mid 1950s BR session. The route still remains in its pre-WW1 GER condition. All of the diesels in this session have been changed to silent engine sounds because it drives me nuts to hear dismals idling from a mile away. My tolerance for diesel power only stretches so far.

There it is! :ROFLMAO: I thought it was surprising seeing you running dismals so openly - I can absolutely sympathize with your sentiments though. The only dismal sounds I can stomach are the ones that Dundun uses for his models as they seem to have overcome this issue! Hopewood still looks as beautiful as ever Annie! 😁

Speaking of Dismals, decided to take Jay's old BR Class 201 out for a stroll on a Brighton to Hastings Service. These DMUS are a bit long in the tooth and noisy as hell but have the same kind of appeal that the Class 101s had. They really grow on you. Guess that's why two whole sets of them survived into preservation eh?

Who knows? Maybe Dun might decide to work his magic on the class and give them a revival. He made the 101s look FANTASTIC after all - maybe one day there might be room for the 201s in the future? ;)

Thanks Alex. My Norfolk route has been having a little bit of tidying here and there, but at heart it's still the layout I first started on back in TS12. I might work on other layouts from time to time, but I always come back to The Hopewood Tramway and the GER.

Jay's old 201 class still manages to look good despite its age.

I couldn't agree more Annie. Jay really was ahead of his time and he made so many fantastic assets that have lasted throughout the years. I wouldn't be able to have done half the work on the SR Project without his station assets! His SR EMUs and his Class 70 and 71 have found homes on my route and they run as well as the day I first downloaded them in TS2009.

The 201s have especially grown on me. I heard they are on regular railtours around the East Coastway Line by Hastings Diesels Ltd. I'm definitely going to have to ride them when I make it over to the UK. 😁

Meadowbeck, one of my earliest recollections from the 1970s railway modelling scene was a layout of FOXFIELD just south of the junction between the Barrow - Whitehaven line and the Coniston branch.
I do plan to try doing the rest of the Furness up to Whitehaven if I ever finish the Carnforth to Barrow leg. Still a long way to go though.

An Ivatt 2MT rounds the windswept Cumbrian coast with the 09.55 Barrow-in-Furness to Carnforth.

Please excuse the lack of scenery as it's very much WIP...

A Furness Route?! 😍

I cannot express how happy I am that someone is finally tackling this fantastic network! Bravo, Meadowbeck! Please know I will be cheering you on every step of the way! 😁👍

Also let me know if you need any diagrams or track plans or whatnot. I may have something stashed away in the archives...😉

Thank you for the kind words :) I'm not local to Cumbria or even the UK, so I mostly work with Ordnance Survey maps, Google Street view and what I can gather from historical photos & videos. So if you have anything from circa late 50's to mid 60's and you'd be willing to dig it up, it'd certainly be appreciated!
