UK Screenshots for Pre BR Blue. High resolution warning.

I get what you are saying Annie. I'm pretty partial to the 8750s because a good number of the, got transferred to the Southern Region after steam ended on the Western Region of BR. They ended up taking over shunting rolls in South London at Stewarts Lane and Nine Elms while also being allocated to Dover Maring and working the shunting on the Folkstone Harbour Branch.

Although I much prefer the SECR R1 Class 0-6-0Ts that they replaced, I can't deny that they were very good at their jobs.
And some went to London Transport and the NCB after being withdrawn as well, - so they certainly got around.

A pity that these details will probably not be visible in Trainz

Having read through the comments on the 57xx, I decided to give it another go. I won't deny it looks good - but I still found that if you look at it more closely it soon begins to show its shortfalls. The main thing for me, driving in realistic mode, is that without coal or water queues you do tend to get somewhat stuck! I took it for a run on Swanage, admittedly with 5 on so perhaps a little more than would reasonably be expected, but I still ran out of water after 2 miles and with no way to top it up. I've also noticed that the couplings aren't animated - not a dealbreaker but a shame nonetheless.

A valiant first effort nevertheless, and it's always good to see more UK content being made. Fingers crossed that with each model developed the author(s) will gain more experience and turn out some excellent models!

It is possible to edit the config file to sort out the coal and water deficiencies PLP. I don't know if it was because I was running it in TANE, but eventually I found the issues with it too much to put up with and to try to repair. I'm not well at the moment and Trainz is supposed to be my happy place, - so yes I'm back with Skipper's and Gary Price's 57xx's again. They might have their faults, but at least they work like they should.

Thank you very much Annie! I knew if anyone would be happy to see me it would definitely be you! :D I'm also sorry to hear about the demise of your beloved CoolerMaster. Cared for PCs are like family and it's almost like losing a pet when they finally take their last breath. My laptop was built with the parts oif my original laptop my late Gran bought for me so I was understandably heartbroken when it finally gave out. Thankfully, I was able to get some really good tips from Barney and bought a new rig that ca handle Trainz on the highest levels.

I'm really happy to see you found Mango's new 5700. It's been a long time since we've seen a new one in Trainz and unfortunately George's 5700 is beginning to look a bit long in the tooth. (I'd use it forever if I could). I just picked it up myself and it actually looks pretty outstanding along the Tarantelle Branch - I do love running them in tandem with a pair of GWR Autocoaches, I think they look splendid :

In addition, Barney 's 8750 Class Pannier Tank is almost completed too. Very soon we'll have two outstanding new GWR Tank Engines to operate on our own incredible routes!
I spy with my little eye do I see a GWR 4200 behind Mongo's 57xx ? : D

How can we use them where we don't have any NSR locos baring those one ? hehe

But yea I will be looking forward to these.
I promise in 2024 I will be Releasing some NSR locos, I’m waiting on the old drawings to be finished being treated and scanned, been waiting half a year now, these wagons are the just the beginning of the NSR wagons, coaches and locos I plan on doing! Obviously the amount I do will depend on how popular they are with the market as I’d like to brake even at a minimum with the rather high cost to make them.

The Knotty wagons look good... what a pity they're being sold via N3V's draconian DRM regime! I'll have to think about a future purchase!

Happy New Year folks!

Rob.

Ah that's wonderful news m8 I apologise if my previous comment sounded a bit harsh. As it's a shame for someone as talented as you to go through all of this effort and not have the satisfaction of, having home grown wagons pulled by home grown engines on home ground.

They’ll be able to be outright purchases in a week or so they have to go through trainzs preview pass thing first, annoying I know, but they’ll be able to be outfight bough and owned forever very soon, I’ll let everyone know when that happens!
