Trainz 2009 Can't save routes?

To let you know, yes I have tried other options on the forums and made trainz rebuild the database and run all programs as administrator. But nothing seems to work. i have Train 2009 SP4 Build 44653

It all started when I moved trainz from my PC to my external hard drive so i can reinstall windows 7. Well, after that i would make a route and it wouldn't save. I went to CMP and tried to commit it as it says but, it said "database access error". Anyone help?

As you have a new windows installed all the registry info will be missing for trainz. It wont know the path of anything or where to look on your computer.

that's odd, I've done it previously. Anyway, I'll try downloading the installer and install trainz and replace mine with the new one. think that would work?
