The Alabama & Southeastern RR WIP Thread (Large Screenies)

Great! From what I heard they came in on two trains, the first 15 came in on southbound E617 and were dropped off in the engine storage tracks (the tracks under the overpass between the South and East Yards) and the other ten came by later that day on M909.

Man, you guys are beating me at my own reskinning game. I wish I had more time to work on my heritage program. I rarely get to work on the RAFT sub.

Don't bother waiting around on me for the scheme, just go back to work on your RAFT sub, it's gonna be a while before I have anything for you.

I dont really mean that. I understand it will be a while, but what I mean is with school and football and band I have no time to myself anymore.

I did. I've gotten the whole signature making process down, and some of it's actually pretty useful to skinning, like with the Saluting Our Troops project. If you'd like a banner, send me a photo and a logo and I'll hook you up, I have gimp on this computer.

Gawd it is good to have my pc back! I'm working on some EMD 710 sounds for you guys, one's a 16-710G3A and the other's a 16-710G3B. I'm still working on getting the ramp up/down values fixed. In the mean time, I took a few of davesnow's new geeps lite to the South Yard to reorganize a few trains that the switch crew mixed up earlier (wannabe I'm pretty sure you were on the South Yard switch crew this afternoon, I expect better from you! :hehe:).

I'm working on a session that I'll make a music video for this route with, so stay tuned for that, it won't be tonight though, it's getting late down here in Alabama. The FURX units are coming back, my New Castle Northern SD40-2 will probably be featured, an ICE SD40-2 might find its way in, there will be some conrail blue, and lots and lots of A&SE maroon as well.

Um actually, after being relocated for the day from BNSF while on probation. (dont ask, rookies) SOmehow I got mixed up at the MOW exchange point and wound up there, with wannabe and then we both are to blame for the mess. Sorry. :(

The MOW exchange/drop off/thing is over in the very end of the Greenwood Branch, like 37 miles from Autumnville's South Yard. How da heck did you end up over there???

I have no idea, fell asleep, woke up all the way over here. Even Im baffled. Thats how far from sante fe junction in Kansas city? Darn fricken GPS. Darn fricken Jerry. He is never driving me again.

XD. I think a few of our retirees live out there now and might know this Jerry fellow. He might come to work with bruises tomorrow...

The A&SE MOW crew was working on the turnouts in the A&SE West Yard so the CSX interchange local, Q235-15, went straight to the South Yard. And to top it off, the second unit was a conrail blue GP40-2!

It was in the middle of the freaking day!!! I think you need to get your eyes checked, don't worry I'm pretty sure employee insurance covers it.

Southerns right, maybe if you took off your darn sunglasses during that cloud cover might help. Also, just made it back to KAnsas City, took a flight from alabama, got mixed up at the airport, wound up in chicago, then took the next KC flight back. Im waiting for my next run on BNSF SD70ace #9303. Hope to see ya guys soon if jerry doesnt f**Ks up again.

I called up Roger and Clint (A&SE retirees living in KC, Clint worked for the A&SE since it was founded and retired in 2006, Roger joined the A&SE in 1984 as a instructor/maintainer back when our SD49's were hot off the assembly line, he later became an engineer and retired in 2008). Wonder of all wonders, Roger happens to be Jerry's next-door-neighbor and Clint lives a few blocks away from him, and I get the feeling they'll be waitin' on him when he gets home. Jerry might look a little screwed up when he comes in for work tomorrow....

Well guys I have a pretty big announcement to make, the A&SE recently purchased a pair of geeps which will be given a pink Breast Cancer Awareness version of the maroon scheme. The units will be numbered 1401-1402 once released.
