Spam Attacks

I hope one of the mods for the forum will take action because I have sent report to one of the mods because of another user who is online but is un-registered.

The fact that that's even able to happen is ridiculous. New members, as in those who have -50 posts, should have their posts/threads screened before they are deemed acceptable.

guys don't look now but the section of trainz a new era is being targeted for spam.
Just saw it. Reported one a few minutes ago in the Surveyor's forum. That one got taken down at the same time as one appeared then got taken down in the General forum.

This one too will go soon enough.

Banning one spam attack perpetrator at a time ... Does NOT Work

The forums need to employ a broader means of bans

You can play whack a mole all day at Chucky Cheese ... Whack a mole method (as they pop up) does not work !

The system admin is looking into methods to stop the man-in-the-middle attack point which is what we're seeing.

Needing a 10 post limit for all threads ... and a single post for "boxcar suggestions thread" delayed/reviewed by moderator is needed for ALL new users

You just sounded like a fortune cookie saying!

Totally SPAMMED ... learn how to mass obliterate SPAM ... or lose in entirety to SPAM attacks (which is happening as we speak)

You can ban each Spammer as they appear ... but brand new Spammers appearing every second in their stead, as you ban them

Well done, Ryan.

If it would be efficiently possible, a strict filtration system for all new members would be the best way to regulate something of that nature. Such as: any new thread/post that a new member submits has to be approved by a moderator before it can be publicly displayed. That would undoubtedly stop the spamming, if the scale of moderation was large enough to handle it.

People should also have a registered version of Trainz before they can post anything. That would single out many people as well.
