Once again, totally different color scheme in these stations from the Willunga line ! Why did they do this , run out of paint? The colorado midland tended to use whatever paint was around at the time, that surely wouldn't apply in SA ?
Yes there are differences BUT I also suspect some of the differences are simple age, faded paint and probably photo quality/storage. The line up to Pirie has many similar stations to that of Willunga but the colours are more green looking than the blue of your stations. I showed that I think with the photo of Mallala. Possibly started the same as Willungae but not in the photo

Ive noticed that close to the cbd, signal box roofs can appear green or a brown tint, some of the keswick waiting rooms were blue walled, the newer station buildings built when the line was doubled tracked are often dark cream , verging on ochre, and as the line goes further out into the country, the color scheme has the blue walls. BUT on the hills line,at mitcham at least, the wall color is an ochre with a red roof ..... brown trim, no sign of blue there .It is somewhat confusing.

Consider that the SAR was a state government department, the Ways and Works branch filled in their requisition for whichever colour paint was needed. When they received their order they painted with whichever colour they were delivered.

I actually asked my contact at the Port Dock Museum about this, he had no answer as to when which liveries were used and why, he told me the colors used , but not where or when they were utilised. The ARHS Mt Barker line uses maroon and cream throughout on their buildings , but precisely why they chose that is , once again, something of a mystery as i cant find examples of that color scheme around on other SAR buildings near Adelaide, although not looked past the lower hills line . .

Looking great! the Moonta and Wallaroo stations look a bit like Tailem Bend.
Very similar and same architect. Alfred Bonythen, designed Moonta, Wallaroo, Murray Bridge, Tailem Bend, Border Town and Mount Gambier I think. I will redo the station itself. I was provided the mesh from someone who didn't finish and found some alignment errors I want to fix but not that straight forward. Hope to cover the other stations too

I just uploaded the current WIP version of the Willunga line from Adelaide to Willunga which is about 80% complete. Willunga ,Reynella and McClaren vale need more work in places . Some assets may not be there, although i will try and make sure all are uploaded. signalling is rudimentary. This upload is a precaution as I am off on holiday for next few weeks , anyone has permission to complete the route and upload it to the DLS as long as it is freeware if I meet with an accident.

the upload should be available on the trainz download station from next week. its not going to be worth asking regarding missing assets as i will be away from my computer for 12 days at least.
anyhow its been accepted for upload and I've also just uploaded about 200 items I've made or modified for the route. will approve them as they appear, Nick, I think you need to upload your SA stone houses if they aren't on the DLS as i used a few of them here and there.
its drivable and most of the route has quite detailed scenery near the track , so its worth a download if you have the software to run it. its going to need some fairly heavy grunt to run it well. the biggest issue with finishing this route is going to be the signalling as in the main yards in Adelaide station and mile end yard there are some fairly unique SAR signal combinations on various gantry's and i cannot find any equivalents on the DLS.

Apparently there are some kuids of mine missing from the recent willunga route upload, , at least three are sir gibbys NZ houses I have modified by changing wall and roof textures to suit SA building materials I think his license covers mods like this but not sure, I've messaged him, no reply , so will have to change them in next upload of the route .
I have no access to upload my kuids until I come back from holidays on the weekend, as for the others that are unknown , they are the usual transdem textures also will appear as missing kuids unless you have transdem installed, but their absence will not affect the route at all.

The route looks really nice. Since these are houses and nothing important, I wouldn't worry about them until you have the route closer to completion. The countryside is very much like Central Texas and the Pan Handle area.
