Thanks for showing the Redhen, had fogotten all About it.I've uploaded a whole bunch of modified Clam 1952 cottages, which ,when given brick walls, are fairly close to the austerity houses built in Australia after the second world war, to make them look a bit more authentic I've also replaced the doors and windows with images of SA screen doors and blinds , and also given them tin and tiled roofs in colors used locally. I also made a series of the JR generic bungalows, modded to more closely resemble the California bungalows that we have in the inner suburbs of Adelaide, unfortunately, there are no models that can be reskinned that i can find on the dls that are anything like the classic SA California bungalow, most blocks from pre 1960 in the inner suburbs were only 50 ft wide , and although the jr bungalows are pretty close to the prototype they are very long and thin and the building is one long shape , whereas most of the SA bungalows have a double front , with one of the rooms stepped back. Hopefully some one will make a model in the future but I'm not holding my breath. .
I've made good progress on the Willunga route extension to Adelaide and it should be completed in four or five months , much of the time is pent trying vainly to find items that will stand in for SA assets,![]()

Adelaide station yard, still some trackwork to complete, the station is a total lashup .I've had to combine two auran terminus assets ( which look loosely modelled on the Adelaide station building ) as the station had 13 platforms. the lack of 1950s items is ,once again, a major hassle.

Mile End yard, very little trackwork to do.mile end oil facility and coal tower![]()
Emerson crossing

This is a swine to make as i cannot find any stand alone boom gates that will fit the width of the road, or that will open and close when a train passes.

it was situated on the intersection of two wide major roads and nothing seems customised to work in this situation, of course most crossings are made for US roads so are no use in my situation, it may well have to do without boom gates. the signals also are failing to work . as I've only ever worked with NG single track token based lines , so I am going to have quite a bit of trouble sorting them out, the SAR had a lot of signals situated at the ends of their stations on this line and there are no junctions at most of them so that may be the issue . I'll have to try and bone up on the signaling aspects of the game as its something i have little experince with.
It looks almost as good as the Redhen set I rode on at Goolwa on the school holidays. Thanks for showing the Redhen, had fogotten all About it.
I hope you do as I've included one of them in the willunga route.Working on some of the classic stone houses I see as I travel around SA. Current making several single fronted homes but may go under different names

I'm travelling for the next few weeks and then hope to finish off the single front and start on double front and then bungalow. All up around 20 houses maybe. These are all less than 500tris
Eventually I may actually release these too lol
That version of the route is so incomplete its not worth a download, it was only put online as a backup in case I snuffed it , as several of our more senior content creators and route builders sadly departed this mortal coil last year with routes in the pipeline. Some of the items aren't even in the current version as they were deemed lacking and Deane possibly changed the style of his content to library items for almost all his stuff, so some items might no longer be on the DLS in the form they were earlier..Greetings. I am looking for some Dangavel assets for Willunga. I posted under Dinorius' thread which was probably the wrong place, so hopefully here? Sorry if I am stepping on the wrong threads:
Greetings. I am missing some Dangavel assets (and a few others) for this route. Can someone point me the way? Thanks in advance!

Thanks but I know this route isn't yet up to scratch , too many non prototypical buildings and I cant really seem to capture the 'feel ' of the area. When I have a look at a lot of the other Aussie routes, which in most cases are quite exceptional, mine doesn't look right, I'm not very happy with it to be truthful.Nice work Dave. That is looking really good
I'm not taking much time to do screenshots as none of this is completed, and its just to inform people whats been done, I no longer bother much with the trainz forum , I post most of my better images onto facebook for the willunga trainz group ,I get a lot more feedback there. For screenshots, I think you should enable shadows and make spline points invisible.
