Sick and tired of cursour 'sticking' in-game

3Ds MAX will be my demise
G'day... :(

Grrrrrrrr... I am absolutely OVER the cursour 'sticking' in-game and ruining the game for me. During Surveyor, the cursour 'sticks' and the compass will follow the cursour wherever the mouse is moved WITHOUT the right-mouse button being held in. This can be a hassle when building objects or texturing. During Driver, I right-click to rotate around the train car, as usual, the cursour sticks and the camera will rotate around the engine without the right-mouse button being held in.
It doesn't do this in any other programs!

This is ruining my Trainz experience! :(

By the way, my mouse is a Logitech LX7 Cordless Laser Mouse.

Cheers... :(

Jake.

Don't think so - I get something similar in 2010 Surveyor. Very occassionally the cursor will take off on it's own, more a rotating over-run than a 'stick'. I intend to move a short distance and finish up 2 boards away facing 180 degrees to the original direction.

Doesn't happen nearly often enough to be an irritation, but I hear your pain!

Andy...

PS - X5 Sidewinder with no known issues :)

Hi,

I've experienced this too, it is quite annoying and always bring out some of the worst in me...

For me though I've contributed the behavior to the fact that my mouse and keyboard are connected through 2 KVM switches in order for me to - for the moment - have 3 computers connected to my single mouse/keyboard.
I also share two monitors between same computers, but they use a switch on the monitors so.

For me it is either that the stupid USB connector I have to have my PS2 mouse/keyboard connected to through a splitter that acts up and needs to be unplugged and replugged before I again regain control over the keyboard/mouse.

Or, I need to switch one of the KVM switches to another computer for a while before keyboard starts working again and I can stop the tour around my baseboards where I have no control when it starts, or the terrible spinning around...

Or, third option, or sometimes a combination of two or all three options mention has to be done.
This last one is to hold down the Shift button on the keyboard quite a while, and then try the arrow buttons to see if I have control again.

It works, until it hangs again, and it makes it no fun inside of Trainz.
But, as I been thinking this was related to my home made setup of KVM switches and all that, that as soon as I get the time and energy to combine my two oldest computers into one computer the problem shall go away.
Now I wonder a little as I see others have some similar problems...

Thanks for the thread.

Best wishes

Linda

Seriouslly don't use a wireless mouse for gameing, Corded are the way to go...
Not that
Try in surevor settings slowing compus speed
spline point rotation
compus movement think defult is mouse
camera is roation

Corded mouse and get the same thing, Maybe around a 60 minute of use cycle the Compass takes off on a cross-country run. Frantic clicking stops it.
