Still trying to do constant radius curves? Then do as was suggested above, locate the centre of the curve, add as many 301.7 m radii as you're will to spend the time on and join the ends with short sections of curved track. More model than proto but if that's what you want, go for it. Unless that curve is going to be the centrepiece of your route with constant attention focused on it, I doubt any deviation from true will be noticed.

If multiple tracks will be placed, add a guide at the apex node and even add two more at 45 degrees for finer control to make it easier to move the set of tracks together.
 
Sometimes you just have to add an extra spline point or two to get the curve to even out. I think on some sweeping curves I made I used up to five points, one at each end and then one at about each quarter of the curve, or about 45 degrees, 90 degrees and 135 degrees. (EDIT: That was for 180 degree curves, also apologies for repeating myself from page 1)
