Trainz Plus - enjoy Trainz from just 20 cents a da
It is one month since we released Trainz 2009 and SP1 is now ready for downloading. This is a code only update that makes over 250 fixes and improvements to the release build. We have also added a number of content updates to the Download Station including English translations for the Intro sessions, multi-language Html pages for Marias Pass and 50 brand new TS2009 textures. Search for these using CM2 or click on the links in-game.
Highlights of SP1 include some performance improvements in non-compatibility mode, graphical improvements in compatibility mode (alpha channels will look better but run a little slower) and dual core optimizations.
Content Manager 2 has had a number of fixes and improvements including new AND/OR/NOT filter options to aid more powerful searching. There are dozens of little things like arrows on the column headings to show which sort order you have chosen and the ability to display asset versions.
Several Surveyor options have been optimized such as using a displacement map and you can now have an option to turn off the "changing a basebaord cannot be undone" message.
AI has had a few tweaks although we will be concentrating more on this area in the weeks to come.
There have been a large number of behind the scenes fixes and improvements to rendering and handling of the Trainz Asset Database. CM2 will now find more content on the DLS and we have fixed a numberof hangs or lock-ups.

To download SP1, simply click on this link, save the 15MB file to disk and then run the .exe.
The first part of the patching process will take a minute or so, then the database repair will take several minutes. Please be patient whilst this update occurs. Once installed, it is possible that when you restart Trainz another database repair will be required.
