Hello;
I have been busy with making models for my copy of 2009 in the native mode. At intervals, I play with the built-in routes and, of course, the quality is pathetic! The alpha process-well, there ain't any. You have these opaque panels that block views as one rattles down the track.
Who okayed this? Or, is something wrong with my computer? It's absurd and no wonder that they hastily came out with 2010--2009 was a disaster!
I can't imagine what some new user would think, upon seeing the lousy rendering of the legacy stuff that they tried to correct to make it, uh, presentable to the public.
Really, Auran, what will 2012 and all the version afterwards, look like? The same old stuff? Well, a new 2009 user, I suppose, would presume that what he sees is supposed to be that way.
So, it appears that everything has been reduced to absolute cost minimization, i.e., let's just make the table top with some yellow angd gray lines, and, let the folks out therer provide the rest.
That is getting close to Open Rail, ain't it?
So, having said that, I expect to see an angry mob with torches, pitchforks and clubs coming after me. Such heresy won't be tolerated.
Or, will it?
I await contra opinions and the next release of Trainz.
