PEV Tools

Hi guys, I know that the original site that had the PEV Tools was considered "malicious" by my anti-virus, I found another link, http://trainz.shaneturner.co.uk/tut...d-party-trainz-utilities/pevsoft-trainz-tools. Is this safe?

In my opinion it is safe, but Shane is in the process of revising his website, and I don't know whether this affects PEV's tools, or not.

Shane's site is OK. I called up the link in your e-mail and my anti-virus (Trend Micro Ultimate) didn't complain.

I'm not personally aware of any issues with my site that holds the PEVSoft tools (which currently is unaffected by my website revisions) however I do know that Norton has problems with programs like that due to it's reputation system. However, I do know that some third-party download sites have been known to copy his tools and add bits to it.

If in doubt though, send me details of what antivirus software you are using and what it thinks it's found so I can check it, as I only use the downloads provided by PEV himself.

Shane has original installers supplied directly by me.. Nothing has been added. To my knowledge they have not been hacked...

I'm not aware of any hacking of them either. I actually make use of CloudFlare to keep such people out.

Change your 'Antivirus', it obviously isn,t up to the job.

My anti-virus is Bitdefender, but it said the old site that it was hosted on said it was malicious, but I do want to be safe, I might of found the wrong site though. So should I download these ones on this current site? I always wanted PEV tools

You should be fine downloading from my site as I do check the files for any issues although they are genuine versions directly from PEV.
