Trainz Plus Beta Stream patches now available:
Trainz Plus 116492 to Trainz Plus Beta 116912 (PC)
Trainz Plus 116493 to Trainz Plus Beta 116931 (Mac)

Trainzbuild 5.1
This update increases to trainzbuild 5.1. This means that content saved in this build will not work in earlier builds. Content from earlier build will, of course, work in this build.

Schwaninger Land - First Look:

Trainz Plus users can now take their first drive of the shiny new ICE 4 high speed trains in this superb new German route.
You can now download the betatest version in Content Store by searching for betatest:1029 in the purchased tab.
Note that there is a derailment at the end of session ICE 517 and a couple of other minor issues we're still working on.
There will most likely be an update tomorrow if you want to save download allowance.

Session Feedback:
With lots of updates based upon feedback over the past few months in all routes and sessions, we've created a simple feedback form so that we can check off that all the content is working as expected.
We would really appreciate everyone installing the latest versions of the TRS22 routes and then running as many sessions as possible using this Feedback Form.

Translations:
This includes the first pass of new localised text for the entire game (including all content) in the following languages:

  • Czech
  • Dutch
  • French
  • German
  • Italian
  • Russian
  • Spanish

For any translations that do not fit or are wrong, please submit a Trainz Bug Report and include a screenshot so we can find the location easily.
We're aware of issues with the Trainz Settings (launcher and in-game) and a few menu items in some languages, so please focus primarily on whether the "context" is correct or not.

Tony, Is it still possible to edit the language files within the Crowding interface?
In my free time (which is limited) I translate as many words into Spanish as I can, but the list is very long!

Thank you Tony and team for your hard work.

I couldn't see from that list that would address an issue I seem to have with pinned Scrapbooks becoming unpinned upon loading the game next time. I didn't think I needed to do anything with it if it is pinned, but when I return to the game, say the next day, it is counting down the days before it disappears, so I have to pin it again. Also I can barely get to the Scrapbook '>' without revealing the right hand scroll bar.

On the whole though Surveyor 2.0 is quite simply amazing.

There was a fix about pinned scrapbooks expiring - I'll check but it should be fixed.

Regarding localisations - you can continue to make changes in the Crowdin platform and we'll be integrating recent changes, The Bug report method is more to point out issue regarding where things don't fit correctly etc.

I tried to download the Trainz Plus build 116912 installer (both EXE and ZIP) but I got messages saying it can't be downloaded securely.

I also have the issue of pinned Scrapbooks becoming unpinned on the next reload. Some do and some don't. Haven't found the pattern yet.

Great update! However, my issue, as I described before, is still (partly) here, that being of the mouse sensitivity. It's much better to navigate with the drone and fly camera now in surveyor, but as soon as I switch to Driver, it's very sensitive once again. Could this be fixed?

I have some confusion over the labeling of TRS19, Trainz Plus and TRS22. I have not yet updated to the latest 116912 so maybe this will clear up my confusion.

My original copy of TRS19 PE now has the Trainz+ graphic on the launcher and Driver/Surveyor start screens with Trainz Railroad Simulator 22 on the top bar of both. I took up the option of the annual subscription and installed, separately, the TRS22 "keep forever" version. It also has the Trainz+ graphic on the launcher and Surveyor/Driver menu screen with Trainz Railroad Simulator 22 on both top bars. To make it more confusing, both installs are named TRS22.exe in their respective installation folders. Both are build 116492 (which I understand). The only way I am able to distinguish between the two is the different locos I have added to the background images for the Surveyor/Driver screens and that I have set the Surveyor of one version (which I think is Trainz Plus) to start with Surveyor 1.0 and the other (which I think is TRS22) to start with Surveyor 2.0.

Is this expected or have I done something wrong?

Here's a summary we've posted before:

Trainz Plus features are available in Trainz Plus builds (which is the latest version of Trainz). These features may be available in other builds from time to time, but only the latest "official" Trainz Plus build guarantees to support all the Trainz Plus features.

In other words, we do not guarantee support for Trainz Plus features in retail Trainz builds (Steam or Trainz Store).

Please install the current Trainz Plus build in order to access Trainz Plus features (which you can download Trainz Plus from your MyTrainz account).

Remember you can also keep older builds installed if you wish, but again, we only support the latest version (which in theory is the most stable).

Regarding the TRS22 "early access" content released to Trainz Plus members, these routes have recently have been updated for TRS22. Since TRS22 has additional new content this means that the latest TRS22 route updates are no longer compatible with TRS19. You require either Trainz Plus (or TRS22) to access these routes.

In relation to your specific comments, build 116492 upgraded from TRS19 is identical to build 116492 installed from an installer. Your username determines which features you have access to (which is in turn determined by your membership or purchases).

What update stream will build 116912 be available on?

I just looked and it doesn't appear to be ready yet, otherwise the link will appear on the Launcher. I assume we will want to use Trainz-Plus or TRS22 Beta depending upon which application is updated. I have both and nothing has shown up in either.

So we are waiting for a patch for the current version in 24 hours, otherwise we don’t want to download everything again

Within 24 hours should have said "tomorrow" :)

Trainz Plus Beta Stream patches now available:

Trainz Plus 116492 to Trainz Plus Beta 116912 (PC)

Trainz Plus 116493 to Trainz Plus Beta 116931 (Mac)

By the way, why doesn't it work when pressing Retry?

Dear N3V,

Patch to Trainz Plus Beta, Build 116912, proceeded smoothly. Early tests with the GCR route look very promising. I like the new compass model. It makes route building far simpler IMO.

Regards Peter.
