Ongoing Investigation: SP6 Route Performance & Redraw Issues

Has anyone seen anything as to when Steam clients would be able to preview some of this?
The short answer is no!

The longer answer is that a Steam or Mac fix test version, or maybe the full fix release (possibly SP6 HF) will be released when they are ready. Experience should tell you that fixes posted in haste to satisfy demands are usually a source of more problems. Perhaps that is what caused this problem in the first place but to be fair, N3V reported that none of their QA and internal tests revealed the problem and none of their initial beta testers reported the problem (although some have disputed that). So how much testing do you do before releasing anything?
 
I am guessing that you are using the original SP6 released a week or two ago. This is the one that is causing all the problems. The current SP6fix release is available for testing only for the Windows versions of Trainz Plus and TRS22 bought or subscribed from the official Trainz Store (not Steam).
 
Thanks to everyone for their help with getting this SP6 hot fix turned around quickly.
 
SP6 Hot Fix 1
Mac version. Minimal benefit. Recovered 1/2 frame max. I'm once again forced to reset the settings to the minimum and remove the shadows.

HF1: On some routes: GPU usage constantly fluctuates from 50/60% to 100%; on all routes: rarely more than 1/3 of available VRAM is used, and frametime is not regular either (between 15 and 45ms).
