Old Avatar List

Isn't the "whale" a UP M-10000?

The list is coming along , as Ed mentioned the "whale" was named something
else in the 'old list' . He is correct , it is an M-10000 , but I am not certain it
is U.P. , Any help please !

Thanks to everyone , the old list is almost restored , for whatever reason(s) ?

I believe I will print her out , set her next to the picture of my high school girlfriend
and I on the hood of my '55 Chevy , and the copy of my divorce papers !
Oh , the memories :'( !

Did you read my post above and have you looked at the video. The whale is red lower, cream upper which was not the colour of M-10000. The cab protrudes above the roofline which is not the case of M-10000. Also there was only one M-10000, built for UP. This is the best sideview I can find to prove my assertion.

teddytoot , I DID read your post , however it was prior to your edit and adding
the video link ! I apologize I did not reread it after the edit ! I believe you are
correct on naming the unit , and I am certain Ron will update it soon (tm) !

Thank you for the research and I apologize , --- ,dave

Sorry to have introduced the controversy over this monstrosity (my opinion...based on aesthetics)! There is already a TEE labeled on the list, so I was taking a stab in the dark. Were there two TEE's on the list. It seems unlikely.

@ Deelare... there's no need to apologize, perhaps using bold type was a bit over the top and offensive. If so it is I who should apologize.

@ Ed.... Yes there are two, the Whale is German and the Moderator one is Dutch. The TEE concept covered several European countries and they each produced their own multiple unit trains. Having no Chunnel at that time we were not connected to this but did produce our equivalent, the Blue Pullman. I feel whoever chose the icons tended to choose more prestigious models for the higher orders. Unfortunately we will probably never know the true picture as all the birds have flown the nest.

No problem. It was kind of fun actually, Ed. I am pretty sure I only got up to around 400 posts or so before the forum crashed. Picking our own avatars is probably a better system.

Hi everyone,
HiBaller, I see my little moment of pickiness has been added and thank you very much for making this list, so people like me can have a look.:)

Oooops, sorry guys : I didn't noticed it in the first time, but the 5 posts is wrong : it's a EUROFIMA coach ...

Cheers,

Philippe

May I ask which Eurofima coach? As when I was looking at them I didn't see any that looked like the coach for Porter.

As I said before, I just happened to have Comic Sans as the default in my illustrator program because I do comic illustrations. After all items were identified, and before actual final publication I was going to change it all to Time New Roman in one swell foop.

Hi Peter,

This EUROFIMA coach is present since TRAINZ version 1 . Sorry, I don't know it's exact reference ...

Cheers,

Philippe
