Orient Express prototypical locomotives, stock & ROUTE suggestions????

Thank you for sharing these! Can you tell me where I might find the missing assets by Vendel and Bambi? I am also looking for one from Span Trainz Rutas:
<kuid:326643:103> for the Goldsdorf 310. Can you tell me what it is?
You'll want to download the CIWL coaches from the following sites:

Try these, and if any missing assets still show, send me the KUID's and I'll try and backtrack on 'em.

Did downloading those solve the missing assets? Those are nice looking coaches for the Orient Express. The modern version was in operation since 1982. It goes from London to Paris and where? Venice or Istanbul? Was there ever a time in the modern era where a steam locomotive pulled the train for part of the journey? UK has a bunch of restored steam locomotives that run fan trips on the main lines and there might be others in European countries.

Are there any good routes that have London or Paris in them as a starting point? Preferably freeware routes that can be merged. Does the modern day Venice-Simplon train start in London or Paris? There is a Chunnel route in real life from London to Paris that goes through a long tunnel under the English Channel. Is motive power all electric or diesel now or are there any historic steam locomotives that pull the train for part of the journey?

Did downloading those solve the missing assets?
Not completely, but progress. I have several CIWL wagons that are missing two Bambi assets in common:
<kuid:166318:28188>
<kuid:166318:50036>
Also some Vendel KUIDs:
<kuid2:149987:56003:1>
<kuid2:149987:50024:3>
<kuid2:149987:50031:2>
And Spain Trainz Rutas:
<kuid:326643:50107>
I tried using the search at Span Trainz Rutas downloads, but it just keeps blinking "Work in progress". I sent an email but have not heard back yet.

The kuids you're looking for from Vendel and STR are located at: https://www.spaintrainzrutas.com/descargas/
As you mentioned, the website's search engine isn't working, but Google's search engine is, and the 5 kuids redirect me there.

Regarding Bambi's kuids, I recommend you ask about them in the French forum.

You're welcome! Glad we could help. :)

That steam train looks nice. Does the modern day Venice-Simplon Orient Express use any preserved steam locomotives for part of the route or is it diesel and electric only? I always wanted to go to Europe as a tourist, visit different countries but we never did. I don't think I will ever be able to go there. I never was in an airplane and I think I would be afraid of flying. I live in eastern PA in the US. Well, we got to Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, VA which is themed to European countries and Canada in August 1984 with my late father who passed March 8, 1986 and my late mom who passed away in the hospital on June 14, 2022 as well as summer 1993 and summer 1997 with the Boy Scouts. I wish somebody would make a Trainz route of the Venice-Simplon Orient Express but it would be quite long and probably several hundred MB's to a gig big or more. There was a route and steam train in Microsoft Train Sim but forget how long it was, I stopped using MSTS soon after I got Trainz. The MSTS discs are probably buried in a large white/clear plastic case with other game and music CD's in it.

After downloading edh6's gorgeous Gölsdorf 310 locomotive, I am curious to know what other locomotives, stock, and most importantly, ROUTES, that I can run the Orient Expresses on. Yes, I am aware of the older thread, which I am updating the sources and adding them over here so it's all together and easier to find for newer members.

I'll also be asking any prototype questions to help with accuracy. As for a list of what I already know I can run, here's what I found:

LOCOMOTIVES:
France

- ETAT 231 Class 4-6-2 (?)
- Loc NORD231 Noire (DLS, <kuid2:64577:90:2>)
-
Nord 120 2-4-0 (for early OE) ( https://pnotrainz.jimdofree.com/téléchargements/old-timer-nord/ )

Germany
- Bavarian S 3/6 4-6-2 ( https://www.trainz.de/download/file/595-bayrische-s3-6/ )
Austria
- Golsdorf Series 310 2-6-4 (DLS, or )
- Golsdorf Series 375.007 2-6-4 ( )

ROLLING STOCK:
- Venice-Simplon Orient Express (use Bambi's CIWL cars: https://web.archive.org/web/2017111...échargement/materiel-roulant/ciwl-et-pullman/ )
- 1920s era CIWL Orient Express, Amsterdam-Constantinople route (DLC)
-
FMA CIWL Cars, 1435mm. - ( https://www.spaintrainzrutas.com/descargas/descarga.php?dlid=638 )
-
Some of the first Orient Express cars from 1883 - ( https://pnotrainz.jimdofree.com/téléchargements/ciwlt/ )

ROUTES
-
Brennerbahn - Ferrovia del Brennero V1.0 (Innsbruck-St. Anton route? Set in 1980 - https://www.trainz.de/download/file/138-brennerbahn-ferrovia-del-brennero-v1-0/ )
-
Fictive Paris (Transilien L) - ( <kuid:966976:422326735> )

Now for the questions...
1.
What routes can I run the pre-existing OE stock on? The DLC stock is attributed to the Amsterdam to Constantinople section...
2. Did any of Edh6's other engines, such as the Paris-Orleans 4-4-2, run with any Orient Express services? What about the SNCF 4-8-2?

The list will be updated with any new information I come across. I will also provide resources I can find for photographs, information + rakes/consists/formations/arrangements of the Orient Express trains, whatever you call it.

That Version of Brennerbahn is very old, here is the last release.

What country is that route in? Is it Switzerland? I found some Paris routes as well, but they don't go very far. Where does the modern day Venice-Simplon Orient Express begin and end? Is it pulled by electrics most of the way or are there any non-electrified sections where diesels are used? Are there any historic steam locomotives used anymore? I saw that the modern day train starts in London but I also saw that it starts in Paris. Which is it? Where does it end? Venice, Italy or are there multiple destinations?
